Anyone else worried?

I'm just wondering if anyone else is worried that a free dinning promotion wont be offered Jan or Feb of 2013. This is value season 1 so i'm guessing some kind of discount will be available. At least I hope so.

I wouldn't worry about it...after the holidays and before Prez Day it is very, very slow at Disney. MLK Jr weekend is a little busier, but probably one of the lightest holidays at Disney (we've been there...it's lighter crowds than Labor Day even.) MArathon weekends are busy for the hotels, but they don't have a big effect on park lines (though they make a mess of traffic patterns due to the race going all over WDW property.) Anyway, we've gone to WDW in January & February every year for the last few years, and there was multiple discounts available each time. It is very slow for Disney...I'm sure they'll have discounts available. Probably your choice of room discount or some version of free dining.

We're counting on it. We have been several times in Sep and once at the end of Jan and free dining has always been offered so early that we didn't need to worry. The waiting is taking ifs toll on us. Thanks for the reassurance.

Yes. I am starting to worry. we are counting on the FD for our trip in January, in fact the fact that FD has usually been offered at the time we planned to go weighed heavily in choosing those dates. But so far have heard nothing. . . .with only 3 months to go before paying in full.

There will absolutely be discounts available. But I'd flip a coin on whether free dining is available. I would have expected to hear by now, but there is still plenty of time. I'd really only rule out free dining being offered, if we don't hear anything by November.

I'm worried too. We are flexible and can go any time but, would love FD or a Discount. I'm not sure I can make myself pay for a room there without it. That's just be being frugal.

The fact is we need dining there is no possible way that we can afford to pay oop for food. The kids love character meals so much and of course they are some of the most expensive. I just hope the discount they offer if not fd is comparable.

I was actually wondering about this too due to the opening of a huge chunk of Fantasyland in December. Not sure if that would effect it or not. Not to be mean but I would actually benefit from this because I am staying DVC in January for most of the trip and I think without free dining it would make it less crowded, but who knows.

I'm not too worried because I'm kind of on the fence with FD if it's offered, or offsite in a condo. There will be 5 of us this trip so FD would be great, but staying in a room at POR together (Deluxe is not in our budget!) might not be. LOL

But, last week the flights I was looking at were $120 less per person - had it been announced I would have booked the flights last week. Now I have to wait on that too. Grrrrr.
