Anyone else worried it’s gonna get a lot more crowded?

We’re going to DLR at the end of July and I’m willing the lines are gonna get a lot longer by then because it looks like they’re increasing capacity on July 1 since reservations are much more plentiful starting then. But maybe they’ll also increase capacity on the rides?

I'd say its a given that capacity is going to increase the further we get away from all the restrictions. I'm hopeful that Disneyland doesn't just abandon all limits and just go back to full capacity. I can't see that happening right away.

We'll be there the 2nd to last week in July so I feel your uneasiness. I think its important to have fun, have a plan and enjoy being in Disneyland again.

Wait for June 15th for the first indication. If park capacity is increased but ride capacity isn't.. then it will be longer waits.
Really need ride capacity to increase to make a difference for ride times.
I guess they will use from June 15th -30th to gauge changes and adjust for July/Aug.

Me. I'm worried! We're going the end of July. I'm hoping it will give them time to settle into their new "whatever it is" and be able to have enough dining and more normal ride loading procedures that increased people won't make it miserable...

You also have to factor in all the restaurants that will be reopening soon in June/July.

Disneyland
Alien Pizza Planet
Docking Bay 7
Oga's Cantina
Rancho del Zocalo
Tiki Juice Bar

DCA
Lamplight Lounge
Wine Country Trattoria

Plus a whole lot of different snack vendors/shops will also be reopening in both parks soon.

FreshBaked even said there is a rumor that Hungry Bear will reopen on July 1st.

When all these restaurants and snack options open, that will help absorb a good amount of the increased crowd capacity also.

Ooh I hope Jack Jack’s Num Nums opens!

I am going to be in the parks June 17th and 18th so I will really be the guinea pig since there are multiple restaurants opening June 17th! Waiting to see if there are anymore update announcements before I get there! Restaurant capacity going up hopefully means they are planning on increasing ride capacity too. One can hope!

We'll be there July 4-8. I'm concerned that it'll be close enough to reopening that they won't have a grasp on everything yet, but far enough away (and with expanded hours) that we won't be able to move.

I actually moved my DL reservations from May to July in the hopes more would be open (more food, more entertainment, more attractions) and in the hopes that the rides might be loaded faster and/or the indoor queues might be used. Even if more people are in the parks, it should feel less crowded if more things are open and things are running more efficiently.

That was my hope for July too, for more attractions and rides to be open and running smoother without the covid social distance restrictions. So far looks like the only ride that might be closed in late July will only be Winnie the Pooh.

where can I see this list? We are supposed to go June 21-26. I’m considering cancelling... the unknown is stressful with a special needs kid.

Apparently WTP is opening July 23 and no rides will be closed that day (that’s the last day park hours/ride closures have been released)
That's awesome! Thanks for the heads up. I saw Winnie the Pooh was closed yesterday for July 22nd but when I check today for July 23, no rides are closed. Crossing my fingers nothing else goes down since I'll be there on the 29th and 30th.

I'll be there the 28th and 29th! Hoping along with you! (Though we're doing a no-kids trip, so we would survive WtP still being closed.)

Since we have a couple of July DLR visitors on this thread, has anyone seen a ***Official DLR July 2021 Check-in Thread***

I've seen ones for June, August, October and December but haven't seen one for July yet. Just curious if I've missed that thread or one hasn't been created yet?
