Anyone else working today?

I was the FIRST PERSON on my bus today...only 7 of us total. How depressing. Everyone else was home sleeping.

Yep....I'm working today. I worked Saturday, too.

I have so many doctor's appointments, that I have to work weekends and holidays to make up the billable hours so I don't get fired at my next review. It stinks. It's worse when the weather guy on the news says "Today is a great day to just stay in bed." Ah, shut up.

I guess you could also cast me in the "working, but not working" field, too. Our computer system is down, so I'm sitting here waiting to be able to work. Technically, they're billable hours since I'm here and I would be working but for the computer problems. I plan to plant my rear end here until 5pm and get in my 10 "billable" hours even if the system isn't fixed today.

Yup! I am working today. I forgot it was a holiday. My neighbor next door usually gets up around the same time I do (thin walls -ugh!) and I was being pretty loud (my bird was too) and then I realized the poor thing was probably trying to sleep in. ooops.

funny - I left my house about 15/20 minutes later then I normally do (it's so dark in the morning! i can't get out of bed), stopped to get gas, and only got to work 5 minutes later then I normally do.

at least there was no traffic!

Oh - evidently the BUILDING is off today...hehehe...no one's access cards work to get onto the floors. heheh...we have recycle bins propping open doors. Finally our Admin asst. said to call security with our badge number and they'd "re-instate it". No prob, it works now. However...I sit near a door and people kept banging/knocking on it when they couldn't get in. Finally put a note on the door sayign "if you badge doesn't work - call security"...and there is a phone in the hallway...hopefully people figure it out. heheheh

But....DW is off today - as she works for the federal government...I hate it when she gets days off that I don't!

This would be me too. My company chose not to give us Columbus Day as a holiday this year and give us the day after Thanksgiving instead. I am going to REALLY enjoy the 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving this year!!

Today is my first day back to work since my father's death. I'm not looking forward to it at all.

I am at work today. It is a floating holiday for us, so if I'd really wanted to I could have taken off...however, what I am doing is saving this and Veteran's Day (which is also a floating holiday) to use when we go on our Disney trip!! 2 days I don't have to use my vacation days!
