Does anyone else here work at a hotel front desk and want to trade weird/annoying guest stories? Seems like I get a new one every day!

I have a lady today who keeps complaining that we are "out in the middle of nowhere"- there are five other hotels right around us, and two theaters within walking distance, and it is about a mile and a half up to the main strip! She's mentioned it at least a zillion times, it's driving me nuts!

My other favorite of the day is the lady who was upset that her TV was "stuck". "There's something wrong with my TV! It's stuck! It won't change channels unless I get up and push the buttons on the tv!" "Oh, you mean the remote batteries are dead?" :rotfl2:

I bet you have some doozies!

I work telephone reservations for hotels, and I know I get some crazies too!

My favorites are the ones who only have one person staying in the room but HAVE to have 2 beds!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I probably shouldnt admit to this but I think it was out in LA, but i could not firgure out how to flush the toilet :confused3 So maybe I had a little to drink on the flight, but when I got into my hotel room, could not figure out how to flush. Called the front desk, and the said the button on top :confused3 Who has ever heard of a button on top. :confused3

Why is there a small water fountain next to your toilets? I have problems bending that far to get a drink!

Calls to get church's phone numbers, pizza's, schools, you name it!

Another one, "My Desk phone doesn't work" Sorry about that, did you push the Line 1 or line 2 button? Ohh NOOOO my computer is plugged in to the line!! :guilty:

Well I just started so no great stories yet...

My FIL had a "water fountain" built in his house... its um, interesting to say the least.

Whoa, does this bring back memories. I worked in hotel industry for 20+ years as Front Desk lerl, Night Auditor and finally as Front Desk Manager. If I start on stories we'd be here all night! :teeth:

There are some real weirdos out there. You always wonder how they can be so dumb.
