Anyone else with leftover credits?

I am planning a trip and no matter how I try it I think I am going to have a TS credit left. I don't want to drag the kids to a restaurant after traveling all day and I don't think we will have time on the day we leave. I don't want to waste a credit but I don't know what to do? It would be nice if you could change 1 type of credit for another once during your trip. I could always take sandwiches to the airport.

You should revise your TS meals, and plan a dinner show for one of your nights there. They take 2 ts credits that way you won't have any TS left over.

Left over credits? Surely you jest - use them up on something before you go. You paid for them - get something, anything, and take with you for snacks for later. Ask CM what you can possibly buy with those credits and just do it. Enjoy, we always do!!:wave2: :goodvibes

We have had CS and Snacks left over. We always use the snacks the last day for snacks and water. On our trip 2 years ago, we ran into a couple who had run out of meals in the food court and they didn't have money left (Newlyweds). Hubby went back into the food court and bought them our last 2 meals. They were thrilled and we felt great about it.

We did something similar at the end of our Oct 05 trip. We met a family at the pool and became "chummy" with them (our DD's played together). On our last night (for both families), we were dicussing the DP (free) and what a great deal it was. The mother mentioned they were out of credits because they extended their stay and Disney wouldn't extend the DP for them. We were going to have 3 CS credits left and after double checking this fact at the desk, DH and I had decided to ask them if they wanted them. The father went through the lines at the food court, I got in line with him when he was ready to pay. They were tickled pink!

ETA- no, we never leave any credits behind. It's use them or lose them, so we always find a way to use them.

Can you convert the CS credits over to snack credits? I read somewhere that some people thought they could.

I have 7 CS credits but typically the 2 younger boys split lunches. We will use all of our TS credits and DH will blast through his Snack Credits on Dole Whips but I feel sure we won't use all of the CS credits.

There is (currently) no official conversion of credits policy.

Some CS eateries, though, effectively provide three snacks for 1CS credit. It's just a peculiarity of those specific eateries.

And while this is true, I could not even consider leaving without using up the credits (CS or otherwise). I say just buy a CS meal and eat what you can, drink what you can-but just use up the credits somehow. You can get bottled drinks with most CS meals, and you can get to go foods (fries, even burgers wrapped up, chicken nuggets, etc). As one previous poster stated "use it or lose it." I love DDP and we have DDE and never use it anymore. We pay rack rates and get tickets we don't need just so we can have DDP. No way will I leave without using credits.popcorn:: :goodvibes:yay:

This is our first time using the DDP, with 3 adults, me, DH, and DS10, and 2 kids, DS5 and 6, and DD who will be turning 1. They are just such light eaters, I'm afraid food or credits would go to waste. I'm going to keep a tab of what we eat and how much we would have spent to see if it is worth it during future visits.

Thanks for your help everyone! All the info out there is amazing. I appreciate everyone taking the time to post their experiences.

So I have 1 more question, if I have kids credits left over on our last day but no Adult credits, can I use the kids credits for lunch on our last day and pay OOP for the adults? Or is it all or nothing?
Thanks

You can use your remaining credits, and pay OOP for the folks you don't have credits for. You'll just need to be sure to ask for separate checks.

We had 1CS left on our last day at BCV and I offered to buy one of the ladies lunch, she was working BCV store (I forget the name). She was thrilled to have a FREE LUNCH and we were happy to see it being used. She asked me to write a note stating I bought her the lunch. I was happy to write the note and off we went.

We had a couple of credits left. So I bought lunch for a family before we left.

Just get what you can with the credits - never hurts to ask if you can swap out for snacks.:goodvibes :goodvibesAlso, nobody will stop you from eating your kids' meals with CS credits - who will know?
