Anyone Else Turn 50 This Year???

Today's the day for me -- and Friday the 13th to boot!

My husband (who works for the same company I do) decorated my cubicle with black and white streamers and has signs all over the cubicle and the building, letting everyone know about it!!!

I guess paybacks are H---, cause that's what I did to him this past April.

Has anyone else out there celebrated 1/2 century this year????

I did and did it at WDW. Spent the day at MK and the night before did an Illuminiations cruise. It was the best birthday ever!

I did that 2 years ago, and it was reasonably painless. The sad thing for me is that my one and only daughter will turn 30 in January. I tell her I don't feel old until she has a birthday, and I will really be feeling my age on her big day.

I had my 50th last year. It wasn't so bad......DH had a surprise (really) 50th birthday party at a local restaurant. I couldn't believe he kept it secret (my 2 youngest also)..this is from a man who can't keep a a secret for anything!!! He has already given me my Christmas gift, cause he couldn't wait!!
I agree with you Waldo'smom.........my oldest ds turned 30 this week. He can't believe he turned 30.......I told him "Turn around and you will be 40......it goes very fast after 30"

WOW! You're DD is 30 -- mine is only 16! I started late, though. We adopted our DD from Korea when I was 34.

I feel young though. Keep active in acting in community theatre and still work full time.

Ain't life grand!

I've got a few months before turning 50. I think taking a trip to DW is a great plan. My younger sister is already making comments about my age.
