I know it might seem daft - but I'm really looking forward to finding out tomorrow the result of the election.

I am quite excited about the prospect of change

I'm excited as well :-) I love elections! :cool1:

We were in New York last week and it seemed really strange that on every street corner were street sellers with badges of all the candidates and people were actually buying them.
When we got to Times Square they were even trying to sell condoms with the faces on. Only in America.

None with Bill on.
People were just walking past laughing.

Watching this at the moment on CNN, it is all over the TV here - unsurprisingly enough, hopefully it is also on at the ESPN bar as that's where we're heading in a minute:cool1:

Okay, Matt, you know this is as close as we're going to come to texting!

Be a sport and keep your fingers crossed for my candidate as you eat those wings and hoist those beers at ESPN. Hi Debbie. Love and hugs, Susan

Thanks, MrsJobba1, for letting me hijack your thread.

I've been up watching the results and we're celebrating in this Democratic household! :goodvibes

And so am I. I've been voting for Democratic candidates since 1968 with less than a 50% success rate, so you can imagnie how thrilled I am!

I'm so glad that the US election is finally over. The campaigning seems to have gone on for years. I wish elections were as interesting or exciting over here as they over there :)

Well done Obama

Well done obama:thumbsup2

I got quite emotional watching the TV - esp when they showed M L King's I have a dream speech.

:thumbsup2

Congratulations to Obama. He has a tough job ahead and will have a massive expectation from both Europe and USA to fulfill :)

i found it quite exciting too, much better than UK politics :rolleyes1

on Sky New this morning, the reporter was interviewing some Democrat supporters in New York city, and when he asked "what is going to happen next?" they replied....

"we're going to DISNEY LAND!!" :rotfl:

hehe.
