As I looked over the discounts, I realized that they cover a good portion of 2011 - basically the same as the bounceback dates. That got me thinking that this may be the only discounts offered for next year. Rather than squeezing them out slowly, Disney may just have decided to do it all at once.
Plus it's probably also an experiment by their marketing department to see what type of response each offer gets. When they offered one at a time, they can't truly make a good comparison between which offers are most popular, or are the highest profit for Disney.
For those of us who have our trips planned out in advance, this is great. But I think Disney will miss out on the last-minute planners who decide that the "new" deal is too great to pass up, or who get an unexpected bonus or tax refund.
I'll be curious to see how this plays out going forward. For us, it works out nicely if this pattern continues. We plan to get a bounceback in December for June, and will be able to book a January trip in August (hopefully).
