Anyone else taking a laid back dining approach?

We did free dining in October 2006 (arrived 09/30/06--last day) and felt tied to our ADRs the entire time. It felt as though the trip was about dining, not parks!

I'm a picky eater, so if I want to eat at a TS restaurant, an ADR is mandatory. I usually make three dinner ADRs for a 10 - 12 night WDW visit. A grocery stop on the way in for produce and a few snacks, supplemented by park grazing and I'm good to go! *LOL*

We only make 2-3 ADRs for an 8-10 day trip. Sometimes we add one more. But, honestly, we tend to eat only two meals per day on WDW trips -- breakfast and a late dinner. Or brunch and a late dinner.

We have learned to avoid big TS lunches or early dinners because it slows us down! I can't even imagine two TS meals in a day.

We are similar to many others. Over the course of a week, we have 2-3 "important" things we really want to try. There are a few "just in case" ADRs made on other days, but more often than not, we call and cancel 'em.

We just got back from a long weekend over Memorial Day, and booked same-day last-minute lunches at San Angel and Brown Derby. SA was okay, Derby was excellent.
