Anyone else staying at Aulani Opening Week?

I am going with my family and parents to Aulani when it opens and was wondering if anyone has received specific information about the resort such as a daily schedule of activities. We have made our dining reservations but were not notified when they became available in early July and just received an email about them 2 weeks ago. I know that the resort is new so they will have a lot of loose ends but just don't want to miss out on anything, especially if we need to sign up for it in advance.

We don't have plans to go to Aulani yet, but I just wanted to say congratulations on getting that reservation. By all accounts, when new DVC resorts open there are a few glitches here and there. But the CM's are at their absolute best at that time....all fired up and enthusiastic. I'm sure they will provide you with all sorts of information regarding any special events going on at that time. And I can't imagine that any of them are fully booked up if registration is required. Just stop by Guest Relations as soon as you check in.

We will also be there Labor Day weekend and very excited that we now have a close location to use our DVC points!

jmatias--maybe we'll see each other around!! I'm excited to have somewhere local to use our points too LOL! We were just at OKW in April and July and did waste a lot of points last year at the Grand Wailea (had I figured out how much that "really" cost me, I would have rented my points out thru Dave and then paid cash!)

We own at SSR and BLT. Can't wait to really see Aulani though!

Not going but do be forewarned that most opening weeks do not occur flawlessly and have an open mind.

I have done two with Disney before and that was enough.

My son is checking into Aulani on Sept. 4 with his new bride. Seems like a nice place for a honeymoon on Dad's points......

My wife and I will get our chance to visit Aulani and see our founding tile in Jan 2013 for our 35th anniversary.
