Anyone else sick this Christmas???

Cough cough... We are all sick here. I knew I was going to get it bad but it held off until I got all the Christmas stuff done - good thing! My parents came over for a short time this morning but left after we opened presents - didn't want to get them sick and we'll see them for the family get-together on saturday. What I feel REAL bad about is that we had to ask DH's brother not to come because we are all coughing & sneezing and feeling bad (DD4 has a fever). He has a 15 month old son and this is their first Christmas alone after the divorce. We really wanted them to spend this special day with us, but since the little guy gets sick so easily we didn't want to risk him catching anything. (There is strep throat at DD's school and we haven't ruled it out here yet) DBIL was understanding but I know he was disappointed. I feel so sad knowing that he is spending the day alone.

We hope to get together with him next week when we are all (hopefully) feeling better.

The kids are both sick but ok...playing quietly with their toys. Me, well I'm off to take a nap...

I'm sorry that you all are sick. Three out of the four of us have the cough stuff, but not feeling too bad. MIL has a mild case of the flu but has been on medicine for more than 24 hours so the kids are really hoping they'll be able to come over for our traditional Christmas night. We'll have to wait and see how she is feeling in a while.

I hope that you all get to feeling better soon.

I'm sorry you are all sick, I got sick last year on Christmas day, it made it a very miserable day.
Thankfully this year we are fine , and we are staying home , enjoying our family and peace and quiet, the kids for once are busy with their new toys.

fourth x-mas straight that i've been sick...but this seems to be mild compared to what others have, and compared to last year...last year i was sick every major holiday so i'm counting myself lucky that so far this year it's just been x-mas...

I barely made it playing through 2 masses last night, probably shouldn't have been there but didn't want to let the choirs down (used hand disenfectant before shaking hands to lessen my guilt!).....my youngest DD6 had ear tubes on the 15th- and now is running 102 degree fever but has the same symptoms (cough, chest and nose congestion) as I do. Swears her ears don't hurt, though. Wasn't so severe I felt like calling the Dr. on Christmas, but I will call first thing in the morning to get her looked at. My DH was SO gracious- let me go back to bed after opening presents (the kids didn't miss me- too busy playing!). Now he is making a wonderful dinner and letting me rest. BEST Christmas present he could have given me!!!!!!!!

I'm sick too. My temp has been fluctuating between normal and 101.7 all day. Not a huge fever but enough to make me feel miserable. We were invited to dinner at my DH's cousins house. I told him to go ahead w/o me, as they have four boys ages 2-9. Don't want to get them sick. So I am alone right now, but that's okay.

This has been going on for me since the 23rd. I was hoping I'd be better by today. Oh well. But I did have a good day despite this. It was nice to lay around all day, even if I feel this terrible. All I've been doing is bundling up under thick blankets and trying to eat and drink when I can.
