We saw it yesterday in NYC and LOVED it!!! Has anyone else seen this? I know they have shows in Boston and Chicago--are they different?

I can't even explain what it was like--only that I haven't had that much fun (in a theater;) ) in a long time. The music was great too and my kids also loved it, although I wouldn't recommend it for real young children. If you're looking for something different, I give it 2 thumbs way up!

i've seen them on tv and d/l a few of their songs, but i would really love to go see them. Back in high school (only 2-3 years ago :p ) i played bass drum in my marching bad and our drum instructor was auditioning for the group (dont know if he made it or not... hahahaha)

It is great!! You are right there is no way to describe it but it is something you must see. I have seen it twice and would go again in a heartbeat:)

DH bugged me for 2 years to go see it in Boston. For some reason I had no desire to see it. Well, last June for his BDay I surprised him with tickets and it was AWESOME!!!!! We can't wait to go back.

I haven't seen it, but I think it would be so neat! Maybe they will do a tour and come down here to Atlanta.

We saw them in Las Vegas and they were a highlight of the trip!

I saw them in Las Vegas at the Luxor.....

It was an interesting show. I enjoyed it but thought it was a tad over priced.... but that may be due to the fact that it was in Las Vegas.

I saw the Blue Man Group in Boston a couple of years ago, and it's a lot of fun. One of the Blue Men came over to me and put his face right in my face. It was kind of spooky. They just look soooooo strange. I don't know if the end is the same everywhere, but the end in Boston was so whacked, but fun (I don't want to go into details--I hate ruining surprises for people). I hope to go back someday and sit in the splash zone.

One time, one of my cousins went to see the Blue Man Group. He has alepechia (I know I didn't spell that correctly, but it's a condition where he lost all of the hair on his body very suddenly). One of the Blue Men went over and kissed the top of his head, and he had a big blue lip print on his head.

Haven't seen the show yet but we'd like to! Would it be suitable for a 4 and 8 year old? Our kids have been to Disney many times and we've been to the circus and ice shows a lot so they are used to shows. I just thought it might be too much for them. (too much of what I am not sure..)

We saw them in Boston on our trip last May. It was different. Didn't really know what to expect but the show was .... well like someone else said it's hard to explain... The end was something else..

Yes, the tickets were expensive. I think about $67 each, but it was sooo much fun. I guess we're used to paying New York prices, so it didn't phase me too much.

The ending was a hoot! I don't want to spoil it either and don't know if it's the same as in Boston, but I was laughing so much I was crying.

I don't know if your 4 y.o would like it. Alot of the humor is kind of grown up and there's some reading :) involved. She may even find them a bit scary. But there are some very silly parts, too. So I guess it depends.........but overall I'd say no.

Anyone seen them in more than one city? I'm just curious if there shows are different.........

My husband saw them in Las Vegas and when we went to Patrick IL.'s DIS meet in July, the whole family saw it in Chicago. What a terrific show!!! We had discounted tickets by visiting a tourist bureau downtown so that made it even better. Jim bought the CD in Vegas, the music is very cool, very different.

Jill,

The eight year old will probably love it, but the four year old might be a bit young for it. The show involves a lot of percussion, and if your kids have sensitive ears, it may be a bit intense for them. It's a very visual show. The show is only about 90 minutes long, so it's not too long for the kids.

I noticed that you are from MA. If you do decide to go, there are almost always half price day of the show tickets available at the Boxtix kiosks at Fanuiel Hall and Copley Square.

Hope this helps. If you'd like more details, let me know.

Thanks for the info about the show. I think we'll hold off for a while. It's funny, but my DS8 would be the one too sensitive to the loud sounds and my DD(almost 4!) would love it.

I have seen the show numerous times......

First time was in Boston...... maybe 8 years ago........

Then I saw it 4 or 5 times here in Chicago..... keep taking friends to see it.

Great show..... I suggest taking some Tynoel before hand if your prone to headaches..... oh and dont froget your glasses!!!!!!

We took our kids to see it and my one son was 3 at the time. He loved it and a year later still talks about the blue guys.

We saw it in Boston. Definitely a unique presentation but highly overpriced......
