My 5 yr old is a night owl, my 8 yr old passes out at 8:30. Here it is 10:40 and the 5 yr old is out like a light and the 8 yr old keeps coming out crying because she can't fall asleep. Poor thing is worried she is going to make Santa not come because she can't get to sleep. Sorry kiddo, I can't make you sleep! It is tough seeing her so sad :sad2:

I like to get to bed early so I am having a hard time staying awake to "do Santa" if/when the 8 yr old falls asleep!

I'm here waiting for my wide awake 6yr old dd to fall asleep. She fell asleep on the way home today from the in laws.I knew then we were in for a long night.

Mine are now all asleep!! :cool1:

My husband is in our bedroom currently cussing at me for having him all these things to put together.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Almost 12 and almost 15 year olds are wide awake. I worked all day and am DEAD but need to stay up to wrap their gifts.

Merry Christmas :santa:

My five year old and one year old are sleeping just waiting for my three year old to fall to sleep. ;) :santa: :santa: Ho Ho Hoooooo

I'm here at work. The NYS Lottery never sleeps.

I had my 10 & 12 year olds in bed by 10. Got Santa's stuff ready and the big presents, Gerbils and Mice all set in their new homes.

Kids have been asleep for hours (2 and 7 1/2 months) but I am waiting on hubby to be finished building the kitchen for our 2 year old daughter.

Waiting.................... DD 9 is such a night owl. Still not asleep. AAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!

It is 7am here and no one is up :scared:

I can tell that someone got up in the middle of the night because presents under the tree are moved around.

I think it might have been my oldest one looking for the rodents mentioned in my PP. She did ask me that if she found a box with holes in it, could she open it before I got home from work? Of course I said yes. But I think Santa is a bit more craftier than to put living animals in a box under the tree over night. Especially with two cats roaming around.

Now I have to decide whether to hint to looking in the playroom for them, or just go along and let them be disappointed for awhile until they go into the playroom. Mind you they might not hit the playroom until we come back from my parents house tonight.

Do you know how hard that would be?

Probably not as hard as all you strong parents who were able to hide trips to WDW from their kids till the day you leave. That's strong.:thumbsup2

Oh what to do?:confused3

If it makes you feel any better, mine didn't fall asleep until almost 1, then my DD10 was up at 2:45 excited because Santa came. I had only been in bed for 15 minutes! I told her she must be dreaming because it was way too early for Santa to have arrived and dragged her into bed with us for 3 more hours of sleep before she couldn't take it anymore. The whole family (except me:surfweb: ) is now back sleeping after opening presents.

Can you believe I was up until 1:30 doing Santa and started waking up after about 6:30? Finally around 7:45, I got up. My dh and my 3yo are sound asleep, and I am just waiting for them to wake up. I am so tired, but I can't sleep! I took airbornne yesterday and some of the herbs in that stuff must keep me up. I even took the nighttime one, but I am so sensitive to that stuff. Insomnia stinks!! :sad1:

It's 7:40 here and I'm the only one up. DS4 is snoring like a lumberjack on the couch next to the Christmas tree. (He and I camped out in the living room last night) He's usually up by now, but a couple of late nights in a row did him in. I'm sure DH is enjoying the extra sleep upstairs! Who would have thought on all mornings that Christmas morning would be the day we slept in!!
