Anyone else on JetBlue Flight 668 on March 3?

We just got back from the World on Friday but we were supposed to be back on Thursday. We flew Jetblue from Orlando to Buffalo and about an hour after our flight took off we experienced a lack of cabin pressure. The plane circled Savannah, Georgia for awhile trying to figure out what to do next. They were told we were too heavy to land there so the plane was diverted back to Orlando.

While the experience was awful with three young kids(2,4,6) I have to admit that Jetblue did take care of us. They could have been more efficient with the paperwork that caused lines to take forever to get food and hotel vouchers, but at least they fed us, gave us a room at the Hyatt attached to MCO, and even added a new direct flight the next morning at 10am to Buffalo to get us home.

I am curious if anyone else was on that flight. Also, Jetblue is extending their schedule tomorrow.

Yikes that doesn't sound like fun. Did you have to wear the oxygen mask? Did they tell you what was going on?

We flew Jetblue last month and had some minor mechanical issues. The first was a computer problem - we had to sit on the run way for 1 hour, the second was an air temp or pressure problem - also a delay on the run way ..oh well the pilot made up the time. We also had a stop at JFK on the way home - delayed due to high winds..it was a bumpy exciting flight - reminded me of Space Mountain :) I hate flying....but I hate driving for 24 hours even more!

We flew JetBlue last year and we also experienced mechanical issues that caused us hours of delay and to have to change planes on one occasion. Not fun!

Oh my goodness. I would of been so scared. Thankfully we have never had any issues. We have flown that direct flight between BUF and MCO a few times.

There were several problems. The flight was delayed almost an hour because they had to wait for a new flight crew. Then we were sitting on the plane and they had to reboot some system. Then we took off and I think they hit a bird. One passenger said her mom was watching the plane take off over the Internet (didn't know you could do that) and the feed when blank partway into the takeoff. The next day when I was checking in one of the guys mentioned that a plane had hit a bird and had to return to Orlando, so I suspect that was ours.

The masks didn't drop down but my wife noticed the steward's face completely change as he was serving us. Apparently some light blinks that alerts the staff to get to their seats. My ears were popping like mad but the pilot was quick to get us down below 10,000 feet where the air pressure is no longer an issue.

My DW is not a good flier at all. God heard a lot of prayers from my wife during that flight. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "Dear God!" I was kind of surprised that after we landed she didn't insist on us just renting a car or taking a train back home.

Despite these issues I would still fly Jetblue over and over again. They handled us well and I think their compensation is more than adequate.

We flew out with flight 662 same day - the 6pm flight. While we were waiting to board I noticed some kerfuffle with passengers from that flight and heard over the loudspeakers something about vouchers and such. So sorry to hear what you expereinced. Thankfully, we had a good flight. Kind of glad I didn't know the details of what happened to your flight prior to ours; I would have been totaly freaked out!

I was watching you guys board and walked over to find out if the flight was full. Was going to try to get onto that flight but no such luck. Glad you guys had a safe flight!

My brother and 2 of my friends are flight attendants. Also, another friend is a commercial pilot. So needless to say I know way too much about what goes on during flight. What the OP has described is somewhat common place and not a whole lot to be concerned about. Bird stricks happen often as do decompressions.

If it makes you feel any better the pilots train constantly and you truely are far safer on a plane than any other form of transportation. Think about how many years ago you took your driving test and since then you've never had to take any training or testing.

I was on your flight.

You aren't the Real Estate Agent from Toronto who offered the JetBlue personal baseline seats for the Blue Jays, are you?
