My friend Scott and I will be on board after a week at Disney. We leave New England this Sunday. I can't wait!

Hi Swede- WE are from RI also! There is a group of 17 of us (4 families) 8 adults and 9 children-8,11,14 year old males and 17,16,13,12,11,10,year old females! My family 5 of us leave RI tuesday am for 4 days in WDW another family of 4 joins us on Thursday for 2 days in WDW. I will meet the other 2 families at the Radisson on friday pm and we will all meet up at the port on Sat. am. WE are all so excited and cannot wait for that nice HOT sunshine! Joan S.

Have fun Joan S!! Wish we were going down for a some DW time too. I have a DS11 who is bringing his friend 13. We went the same cruise last year and he liked it better than the year before going to DW. Have you been on the Magic before??

Hi Swede63-

We are from CT. We are a party of 6- 2 families, 4 adults, 2 girls- my DD, who will be 11 while on the cruise & one who is 10. We will be at WDW 3 days before the cruise & will be meeting our friends at the Port. We leave one week from today!

We were on the 7 day Halloween cruise in 2000. Had a blast! How was the weather on your cruise last year? It seems like a good time of year to go. Like Joan S. we want some warm weather & sunshine too!

Hi Joan S.! I hooked up with Leslie & the girls having been emailing & sending each other pics. They are excited about meeting each other!

We should do an informal DIS meet on Sunday or Monday, so we can meet everyone from the boards. Any ideas?

- Linda :)

Weather last year was nice and warm, in the 80's most days. The only bad day was the day at sea thurday that we hit a freak storm and half the passagenser never caem out of their cabins that day. It was rough sailing and thank god for the Bomine, my son and I were fine. The water at StMartin was real nice and warm, we had a great day at Orient Beach riding the Waverunners. However the day at Castaway the water was cool and the wind made it seem too cold for me. My son is so excited he has the Disney Christams countdown out, and is using it to count down the days. He hit ten this morning. I am jealous of all you that are going to DW for a while before. But I am looking forward to the time away though and the realxing times on board and on the islands. :bounce:

We're also going on the 12th. My husband and I and our 11 year old son. We've gone on the three day cruise and loved it. The 7 day will be great because of the extra time on the ship. We are also staying at the Radisson the night before.

Is this some special New England cruise or something? Will there be anyone on the ship not from the North East?

We are coming from Seattle. We may be the only West coasters there it seems! Looking forward to some warm weather!

Last year on the cruise we sat with a father/son from San Francisco. There will be others from the west coast. We were out to Washington/Idaho skiing in Feb. and loved it out there. But it is a long flight, the ride home took alot out of you for a day. Hope you have great flights down to Orlando. See you on board!!!

donald@home LOL! I was thinking the same thing!

Don't worry slhbrown, us New Englanders will take good care of you! We are pretty friendly people! Seattle is similar to NE - you just get more rain, we get the snow- but not this winter. It only started to snow since Spring came... It sounds like we all need this cruise bad!

How does Sunday at 4:30PM by Signals Bar ( adult pool ) sound for an informal DIS meet? If the weather resembles New England or Seattle ( no mention of the R word for our cruise..) we can meet at the Promenade Lounge for some quick hellos... I don't think anything else is going on then.

- Linda

Thanks for your welcome! I am game for meeting on Sunday. Will have to arrange with DH and DS (almost 11) and DD (almost 7), but I am sure they will be able to find something to do. hahahaha We have had awsome weather the past 4-5 days but the 'R' is moving in. It makes it that much more exciting knowing that it is only 8 days away! We are taking a red eye out hoping the kids sleep the long flight. We will definatly be ready for a vacation! I have cruised before but not the DH and kids. They are in for such a treat! First time DCL for all of us. Hope to see you on Sunday!

Great! I figure Signals would be safe, as our kids would most likely be busier than us at the club/lab, arcade, or Goofy Pool (that is around the corner) 'til about 5ish. That's when I usually round up my DD to get ready for dinner. Signals is outdoors on Deck 9 in the adult pool area. Promenade is on Deck 3 between Lumiere's & Parrot Cay- only a back up, as we are going to have terrific weather! You & your family are going to love this cruise!

How does that sound to everyone else for a quick get together?

- Linda

If I am not in the spa or not sleeping somewhere I will stop by. How will we recognize each other?

By the way, I am from Newburyport MA. I read on the boards a few weeks ago that someone from Beverly MA (a town close by) will also be on the cruise.

Anyone else on board the April 13the Magic?

Hello to all from CT - Home of the Women's NCAA Champs!! Go Huskies! :D

I posted another thread before for 4/13 cruise and I recognize some of you..Linda I remember is from Danbury.

The wife doesn't know it yet..but maybe if she is still awake..we are getting up at 3 am on Saturday..I will convince her to stop by at Signals to say hi..

My daughters are 17 and 7 [ will be 8 in May]

Hoping the weather is warm & sunny..:sunny:

I have a sister-in-law that lives in Beverly MA! She is a middle school teacher. It sure would be funny if she teaches any of the kids that will be on board with us!

You will recognize me on Sunday. I will be the one with the webbed feet........... get it? from Seattle..... rains alot.... teehee.

I have a sister-in-law from Beverly Ma. She is a teacher. Wouldn't that be funny if some of the kids on board have her as a teacher!!!

You will recognize us here from Seattle. We will be the ones with webbed feet! teehee.......

Linda, Leslie and I will try to be there! Maybe you and I can meet before that at the BW pool? My family is usually in the parks early and we enjoy some pool time midafternoon. I am almost all packed and ready to go!! We leave RI tuesday at 7am. Joan S.
