in people trying to trade the stuff on sale right now. What I mean is the blue dress, crown, and pan hat. I have seen all of them today happen and more than once. Person in area trying to offer pan hat for trade and another in a differen area for the crown which I saw it so said how it was for sale in small world imports if anyone really wanted it. Then some girl tried to come up and offer me the blue dress for my yellow one. She first had sent me the trade request which I declined and sent it again while saying in the area that she wanted to do that trade. I let her know I don't trade and had the blue dress already. Then said how I know its for sale in small world so it was a no go. I left the area. I had to laugh at them all cause I'm sure most people that know this stuff is for sale won't do the trades and lose whatever but sadly I can see that there will be a few that might. It just seems to have increased lately that this is happening..at least that I have seen. Anyone else notice it?

I've noticed it as well. I also tell the room that the items are in the Small World store so that any of the younger or newer players don't get scammed.

Ever single time I go into a trade room atleats two people are trying to trade a Pan Hat. It gets annoying so I say "The pan hat is for sale." and they usually get mad and say "you told the secret!!"

Glad you all do that and let others know. I don't go in trade rooms so didn't know if it was happening in there but guess it is there too. I figured its better to speak up so no one gets scammed out of something good they may have worked hard for when they can go buy whatever. I guess they all think its an easy way to scam others but boy are they wrong when those of us are around that will speak up.

Yeah, honestly. Someone earlier today tried to offer me a pan hat for my Stitch hat. The other day, someone also tried to convince me that Minnie and flip were rarer than Stitch. What people will do to try and get rare.

I think Minnie might be rarer than stitch... there are a lot of stitch hats around... JMO though

I was thinking about this today. I was in doing the daily credits in mansion. A girl offered to trade her blue princess costume to anyone in the room. I said, "Oh, I just bought one in the Small World Store...and the Pan hat too."

It's my subtle way of letting the crowd know where to find it. :thumbsup2

I see that a lot too. Even on the trade board here on the Dis...people trying to pass it off as rare. I tell them flat out, "it is not rare, you can buy it in the so-and-so", do you need to me to show you?! ;)

It pretty much falls in the way of a light scam. I tell them straighaway each time. :teeth: I am not subtle about it. I don't like seeing people being taken advantage of.

This stuff happens all the time. I guess people think this is a garage sale auction. HA!

**************** My little story *********************
I will play along for about 2 minutes.... Yeah, it is kind of mean, but so is their lying bit to get what they want.

I had a guy try to get me to trade him my full theatre, gold rope and chair and mansion hat and shoes I was still wearing for a purple counter (that 1 - 6 thing). I told him no thanks. He told me that what he was offering held a higher value and was going to be way way more rare. I asked him why he was trying to trade it so badly if the value was so high? :rotfl: He said, "okay fine, the purple counter for everything but mansion shoes"...so I took my mansion hat off, got back in the trade window with him, put everthing up and the screen and said, "this?' He said yes, hit his accept button and I said "no thanks :), but good luck tho."

He told the owner to boot me....the owner booted him. She told the room he was trying to trick people.

I believe it's called the search for an uninformed sucker. Truly sad.

Disney Dreams there you go. I imagine they may find some at some point but hopefully there are others to warn the person around them.

And bytheblood glad the owner of that room knew what was up with that person and showed him the boot. :lmao: I am the same way I just straight out tell them its not rare and where everyone can go to buy it. No point in beating around the bush about it with those type of people.
