I'd like to think it was just that I'm so tired from Christmas and that's why I kept trying only option "1", since, duh, I could have tried getting a live person at Member Administration.

More likely I'm such a rule follower that I just kept pressing "1" and calling again...:
Anyway, I just got through the old fashioned way, via option "1", and when I told the lady I got about the whole endless ringing thing, she said they can monitor call volume and it didn't show anything out of the ordinary.
