Anyone else not doing a character meal?

Every year we have a tradition of doing at least 1 character meal. Even though my kids are teens, we enjoy getting pictures and since they are buffets, my 2 sons who eat like NY Giants linebackers can eat all they want.

Last year the 2 that we had were sooo terrible, well maybe terrible is a bit strong let's say mediocre at best. Now I'm finalizing up my plans for my August trip and for the first time we're skipping a character meal, not worth the money.

Any one else not doing one or if you still are what's a good one?

Well with what I am reading about making ADRs for August I may not get any character meals this year.

I agree CM was so so. But I keep going back because I have an autistic child that does love the characters. Have a teen son that loves to eat and eat.
Maybe when both are older we will skip them.

This will be our first trip skipping character meals. My almost 13 year old son does not want to go to one this time.

We love CP & TH for breakfast. We ate at both last month and they were great! We also had breakfast at Captain's Grille - no characters, but a good buffet in a nice, quiet setting.

We are not doing one for June...the best character meals are the breakfasts like Cape May, Ohana, Crystal Palace and Princess Breakfast in Norway...we have found that we do not like the foods at the character dinner buffets, way too salty

We love CM breakfast and will probably do it until all the kids absolutely refuse. If they are like me, that will never happen (hopefully).

We are not doing one in August. The boys are not interested in the characters this year. This wil be our first trip without a CM, I hope it is still magical !
