Anyone else NOT a fan of Google?

I just wanted to follow up that my hijacking issues could have happened on any of the search engines. BUT, I blame Google because I think that if they claim to be a top rated search engine they should direct you to legitimate sites and should have a rating system based upon either feedback or research to help us poor lost netizens. Also, If I can stretch my feeble non-techie brain enough to say, hey, wait a minute, if e-mail servers can help me to block spam, why can't my search engines help me to block spyware and all the other crapola out there, then there must be an answer to this dilema because if there is not one, then search engines will be a thing of the past, because believe me, unless I gain some trust back, I am not going anywhere my little hearts desires unless I know the address and can drop some bread crumbs along the way to get me back to safe territory.

I'm a Googler now, but it was always dogpile for me in the past, and I still use it on occasion.

LOL, CBRorBust, you made me smile. :)

Not really a 'fan' of Google, just currently find it to be the best. Prior to Google, I did use Yahoo and MSN. And before them, HotBot, AltaVista, and way back, Gopher and WebCrawler. I like Googel for the search button, the toolbar and newer deskbar. I do like Yaho better for its photos of news items, as Google really is not a site per se.

Here is a good site to review engines and news.................

And a good one to compare the two..............

Using this, I like Yahoo better, LOL, it finds my site faster. :)

Blasmphamy.;)

I love google. A good friend of mine has a love/hate thing with it. She doesn't like it because she says it has so much built in spyware (which is exactly why I won't be signing up for their new free email they're offering;)), but she's the one that introduced me to the google toolbar.:teeth:

You guys are too funny!

Glad you got a laugh out of the thread Dan! :p
