Anyone else miss Tony's for breakfast?

I just posted on a "best breakfast" thread and that got me thinking about Tony's. It was a regular stop on our MK day and we enjoyed a leisurely TS breakfast as we watched the crowds surge up Main St.
Food and service were always excellent and every time we ate there, it seemed reasonably crowded.
Yet--they closed it

Yes I remember it! I remember sitting on the enclosed veranda..It was relaxing and cool, the waitress was just so sweet to my DD then 3..Sprinkled mickey confetti around her and colored with her (DD wasnt feeling well) it made DD day..

Our family LOVED our breakfast at Tony's in 2001. Wish they'd bring it back.

The menu was printed on a "newpaper", and look at the cute pats of butter with Mickey's image on them!

Not that this helps, but I was excited to learn that they still do the Tony's breakfast for grand gatherings...

Hi, We also ENJOYED Tony's for Breakfast! We would be at the MK for opening and then do a late breakfast. It was wonderful to sit there and watch the crowds stream into the MK. It also seemed to me that it was always a full house for breakfast. They should at least BRING BACK breakfast at Tony's when the MK is expecting large crowds. Joan

DH and I were just discussing this the other day!!!! They had the most amazing stuffed french toast! I really wish it would come back to those of us who don't do Grand Gatherings

This brings back some nice memories of when the kids were younger and we ate at Tony's for breakfast. I recall a nice relaxing time there.

I also loved breakfast at Tony's. I remember the waffles, french toast and my favorite-the strawberries in cream.

Yep, I used to get the Lady & the Tramp waffle. I remember the first time we went, it was during the Fall Fantasy package (a daily breakfast was included), and my Dad was shocked that it included the "steak & eggs" menu item. He thought it was one of the best breakfasts ever! Now he is annoyed he can't even pay to have breakfast there, because he would like a table service breakfast in the MK without characters.

I'm glad to see all of these positive posts for Tony's Breakfast. We have a Grand Gathering event planned there for our first day in Disney World. I realize that it is different now. Being a character and a buffet. But it still makes me excited to see that it elicits all of these wonderful memories! Hopefully we can make a few as well =)

Breakfast at Tony's was such a wonderful way to start the day at the MK, a relaxing, delish breakfast! We were so sad when they cancelled breakfast here and would simply love it if they would bring it back- not a buffet- real order off the menu breakfast.

I'm also glad to hear that it was good as we have a Grand Gathering booked there in the fall! Hopefully, it will be as good as you all have experienced there, we have been trying to get this for the past 2-3 yrs with no success!!

We really, really miss dining at Tony's for breakfast. We dined there every time we visited the MK for years. We would hit a few rides and than come back for breakfast. I agree with you Uncleromulus, it was always crowded. We had to wait for a table on most visits.

Yes!!!! I too miss breakfast at Tony's. Way back in '93 we had breakfast there and the kids got waffles and the butter came shaped like Mickey. None of us wanted to use it

Also they had wonderful fritattas......yummmmmmmmmm
