I have had my car for several years, but still absolutely love it. I spend every Sunday afternoon hand washing my baby, cleaning the interior, etc.

Does anyone else share my affliction?

NOPE not any more .I use to have a tricked out truck.1750 watts 24 speakers in a reg cab .Alarm system that talked to you Icould program it in my voice to say anything in 4 different modes.

I just got to the point when I got rid of that one that now my Jeeps are just to get me from pointA to point B and thats it.

Yes, I get very emotionally attached to my cars! My 1st car, I kept until there was smoke coming out of the engine. Even then, I was reluctant to part with it (but finally donated it to the salvation army). Now I have had one of my current cars for 12 years now, and it has engine problems, but I can already tell I will have a terrible time parting with it!! Guess I am hoping I will win the lottery so I can get it a new engine and keep it running! :teeth:

I like my cars but don't bother with all that stuff..I have a daughter so my weekends and spare time are all spent doing things with her. I would not have the time to hand wash, polish etc. I don't think she would be to happy to spend every weekend elping me wash a car LOL. When I was single I hand washed and waxed my car every few weeks but now with a family it is not something I want to waste time on when I could be doing something with my daughter.

I love my car! It's a 2001 black Pontiac Trans Am - 6 speed manual. I've wanted a Trans Am since I was a little kid - 'Smokey & the Bandit'-era so that dates me. Bought it in Jan. 2001. Trans Ams are pretty loaded - leather, 500w sound system, power everything was standard equipment for T/As. The only option I did was a Hurst short-throw shifter. It's stock, other than a K&N air filter. 305 rated hp with an additional 10-15 from the K&N makes it go pretty good. :teeth: I love that V8 deep burble exhaust note. And (best of all) it's paid for!

I've also wanted a Corvette since I was a kid. I'm currently saving up my pennies, nickels & dimes for a Z06 (or at least a convertible 'Vette)!

My car is usually 'clean' - but my kids tend to leave sticky hand prints, McToys & broken crayons behind. It's definitely not show-quality 'clean', and I only wax it once or twice a year. I'm not overly anal (I don't think) about it in any case.

I do, I have a Tahoe and I absolutely love it. I like it so much I don't want to drive it, don't want to put miles on it, don't want the kids slinging their backpacks around and putting holes in my seats.. don't want them eating, drinking, etc... in it. So I drive hubby's truck most of the time. With the increase in the price of gas, several people have asked me if I regretted buying my Tahoe, I don't, it's just one more reason I can use for not driving it much. As far as gas mileage goes, the truck doesn't do any better. I may buy a car to get better gas mileage, but I will be keeping that Tahoe. :) :cloud9:

I love my car. It's the first car I ever owned in my life. I can't let go. It's a 2002 Chevy Blazer. It has over 130,000 miles on it (I bought it new, but I drive a lot). We've been through so much together. Terrible snowstorms when I didn't think either of us would get out of it in one piece. Awful traffic where we spent hours sitting in one spot. I feel like it wraps me up in a big hug when I'm in it. :goodvibes

DH is trying to get me to let go, but I can't. He's brought me to different dealerships for test drives. Yeah, there are some nice cars out there - I love the Honda Pilot - but, they are not My Baby. I didn't get the "hug" from the Pilot or the other 8 SUVs I took for a test drive.

So, I've spoken to our mechanic and he told me how much it would be to put a new engine and transmission in my car when the time comes. I'm 99% sure I'm going with that option and NOT buying a new car. :)

I love our car it is a indie blue mini cooper s with a white top. I wish it had the stripes.

However my DH is obsesed (sp?) with the car. Only he can wash it, not that I am complaining. He has a polish system that takes an entire day to complete.

Wash--dry--wash--dry--rub with a sticky substance to take off anything left-- mix up polish--polish--repeat polish until happy.

He has posters of the mini, mini models, a mini blueprint in his office. He follows the mini boards and even goes to mini rallies. Now I love our car it is fun to drive and I tend to drive way too fast in it but I think that he just might be a little over the top about it.

Yup. I love my car. It was my first big purchase that I did all by myself without any help. My other car ex-DH negotiated. This time, I researched, brought my Dad with me for moral support and did the whole thing myself.

It a 2006 Honda CRV, black, and it's completely clean. The floors are always vacuumed, the dash is always wiped off, there is nothing in the back seat or trunk...love, love, love it.

However, I really want a Pilot but can't afford it. I could love that one too ;)

I have a 01 Jeep Wrangler (TJ), yellow, that I'm attached to. It's my 2nd Jeep, and the first one I've done modifications to. I put on a 2" suspension lift and a 1" body lift, 32" tires. Been driving it back and forth to work without the doors and just a bikini top on it. I plan on keeping it and making it a trail vehicle, I'm not into loud sound systems, there is really no point in a Jeep, 1) I'd have to spend way too much money to make it sound the way I want it to and 2) too easy to steal.

My brother has a Jeep, my dad has a 94 (I think) wrangler and a cherokee. I also have a 44 Ford GPW military Jeep. Here is a pic of my brother's TJ (blue), my GPW, my Dad's Cherokee and my TJ

I must say, I LOVE my current car.....it is my cute little mid-life crisis!!! She is a 2002 Fire-engine red Chevy Cavalier LS Sport Coupe. she has a sun-roof, chrome wheels, 8 speaker CD player and her name is Rosie. She has personalized plates JOVIFAN, and loves bubble baths, her wax job is known as her facial, and getting her tires/wheels scrubbed is her manicure! She's a real girly girl !!!!! She also sports a custom Jon Bon Jovi decal, the HAND smirk and a WVU sticker on the back window.....:woohoo:
My kids think it is the 1st cool car I ever owned (they hated the mini-van and despised the Subaru Outback) :confused3

I do! I always have or I wouldnt have bought any of the cars I've had.

I just got out there last week and washed both my car and my new li'l truck by hand, just me and my bucket o' suds... :cool1:

Love my van!!
It's a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country. I vacuum it every weekend. No one is allowed to eat or drink in it & never has. It was tough for the kids when we first got the van, because in our previous car, eating was allowed. After a few weeks they got used to it. The interior looks brand new. But the exterior, oh, the birds keep pooping on it!!

**The best thing that came of the "no food/drink in the car" rule was that with no eating/drinking in the car, we don't stop at fast food places anymore. I can count on one hand how many times we've been to fast food in the last 6 months!!

My beloved van has even taken us to Disney twice!!

I knew I wasn't the only one.

The funny thing is that mine is a company car....

Are you going to spill the beans and let us know what kind of car it is???

I HAD a car that I loved - a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. It was bright red and it moved. Now that we're on kid #2 I had to trade it in. I bought a Jeep Liberty, and so far I love it. My dream car is a Wrangler - so I think I'm one step closer to the Wrangler.

My only problem is I love every car I have for about 2-3 years. Then I get tired of it and want something new :) I'll have to wait 8 or 9 years for a Wrangler though, hopefully they'll still be making them then.

NICE! Even nicer that it's a company car :)

I used to. I drove a Hyundai Santa Fe. Some jerk smashed into it.
Now I drive a Toyota Celica. It's alright, but only when it's nice out. In the snow it's not so good. I am probably going to get another Santa Fe soon. I just have to figure out finances and things and I am on my way to the Huyndai dealership!!
