Anyone else LOVE the YOMD promotion

There is so much negativity towards YOMD, am I the only one who LOVES this promotion!!?? When I read in my Mickey Monitor that it was going to be extended by another year, I litterally got up and danced around the room. I think that it is so exciting that you even have the CHANCE to win prizes. I think it is just another wonderful possibility in a day filled with wonderful possibilities. I love waking up in the morning at WDW and think about that ON TOP of all the other wonderful Disney magic I'm going to experience that day, maybe I'll be lucky enough to win a dream! I love walking around the park and seeing people with dream mouse ears and fastpasses and pins and lanyards. I love congratulating them and seeing the happiness on their faces. I love that the cast members get so excited about it, really I don't see any negatives to this promotion. Does anyone else feel the way I do??

I love it!!

I wont mind not getting picked for a dream, like you, the chance of possibly getting one is exciting to me. I hope I get to see others winning them. We had a "Magical Moment on our cruise this past Junuary, it was much needed and appreciated at the time. Right now I am just excited to be going to Disney in 24 days, I do not feel the need for a dream but would LOVE to witness others recieving them.

Of course, if I am picked to win the DVC prize, I won't be turning it down. That would be my dream.

I think it is one of the most ingenious marketing campaigns ever!!!

I agree that being there is fun anyway...so if you don't win, it's OK because you are still at WDW!

But add in the possibility of winning something at any moment...THAT'S AWESOME!!!

I'm not crazy about the fact that they have extended the promo because it seems to have cut down on a lot of the opportunties to win a prize. We just returned from 12 days @ WDW and saw very few people that had won the ears, lanyards, or FP's. We did see members of the Dream Squad but they were usually just walking around chatting with the guests. We never witnessed any of them award a prize to someone. So what is it now -- the Year of a Half Million Dreams, or The Two Years of a Million Dreams (neither option has quite the same ring to it, does it?).

I love this promotion too I thought it was so much fun to see people walking around with their winnings in Disneyland and I hope to see lots of other winners when we go next week. I hope they haven't cut down on the number of prizes in order to extend it another year, but either way I think it's a fun promotion.

We went when it first started last year and had a couple of small wishes.. the only real one was family of the day at Cosmic Rays.. (and all we had ordered was a drink.. ) but it was still sweet and made us smile.

It is always something fun to look forward to and while we are not holding our breath for anything this year it would sure make our day if we did win something.

I am all for it. Anything to make people get some special dreams come true! This is what Disney is about, right?

What a great job to bring joy to someone each day

We are heading to WDW in October (only 26 sleeps now ), if we are lucky enough to get a 'dream' then great but it won't bother us if we don't win anything.

It doesn't excite me one way or another. I am just happy that we will be returning. On our last trip in March we didn't see one thing that would of told us what the theme was if I hadn't known already.
