Anyone else leaving on Feb 11th? Are you stressed at all??!

forgive me if you saw this post on another thread, after I sent it I realized I probably should have put it on this message board instead!!

We are leaving for WDW in 9 days and although i'm very excited I'm also a bit stressed trying to get everything ready. I don't want to forget something or not do something special planning or preperation for the kids (my main reason for the stress!) What are you doing right now in preperation for your Feb 11th trip? I'm doing the countdown chain with the kids, I am ordering new DVD's from the library for the plane trip as well as picking up a few little toys or activities for the plane ride. I'm starting to get our spring/summer clothes together to pack, I've got all our dining 'reservations' in order, talking a lot about our hotel and the parks to help get the kids excited too. I'm also bringing valentines cards and candies for the kids so we can celebrate there. What are you doing now in preperation????? Am I forgetting something??! (except that I probably just need to relax!)

UGH!! WE leave for Disney on the 13th of Feb....I know how you feel!!! I'm sort of a novice at this whole Disney thing so I'm REALLY stressed!! I've been reading up on the parks and attractions making notes on what rides will and will not be appropriate for my 3 year old and which ones have Fastpass etc....also did some reading on restaurants. We are going to try and eat breakfast in our rooms and snacks throughout the day and eat something in the park at some point...So, I"m totally stressed about what to pack for food....my 9 year old and DH are big eatters!! You are so far ahead of me though....I haven't even THOUGHT about packing yet!! Next week for sure especially since my spring/summer clothes are all packed away! I see you've said you've stayed at pop century before......that's where we are staying this time. YAY!! If all goes well I'd LOVE to take my kiddos back again in a few years when my 3 year old is older and before my 9 year old thinks it is too embarassing to travel with mom and dad. Would secretly like to have another 2 or 3 year old by that time also .....Good luck with your packing....maybe we could be stress relief buddies this coming week!!

DD and I are leaving the 12th staying at pop. This is our first mommy and me trip (i have taken each of my kids alone on previous years) however we lived in florida at the time. so this is our first airplane ride and am very nervous. i would hate to get lost in the airport and have to cry in front of my DD lol.
It's her 8th bday and we have made tons of plans. But as i have learned on previous trips, be flexible with the plans.lol

I can totally relate! This is our first trip to disney. Talk about being afraid of forgetting
to do somethind or missing something! We leave on the 15th. We have 2 boys 4 and 7
so I am trying to make this as special as possible. So if anyone has any good tips they
would be much appreciated. We ended up booking an extra night at the beginning of our vacation because we are so excited.

We are leaving the 10th. I have a bday party for my daughter on Sat, superbowl for my guys on sun. Very busy. If I don't pack it I will just buy it.

We're leaving on the 11th for our first visit as well. I'm certain I'm forgetting something. I haven't started packing yet, but I have a big pile of stuff I've bought for the trip. I ordered water from Staples today. All of our ADRs are done. Transportation to and from the airport here is all taken care of. I still have to swing by the $store and pick up ponchos, but I think everything else has been bought. This is the first vacation we've been on since ds4 was a baby, so it's been awhile.
This weekend I want to get the house all cleaned up (nothing's worse then coming home to a dirty house after vacation) then I can concentrate more on packing.

I think that is great that you are taking an alone trip with you DD! AND that you've done it with EACH of your kiddos! YAY!!! Have you guys taken a family trip before???

I'm sure you'll do fine on the plane. I flew out to the DC area last May with my two boys so we could visit my DH who was out there for training....I was a bit nervous of losing someone also but we all made it there and back just fine! I'm anxious to see how it goes in a week or so with my DH added into the mix because I think I managed quite well by myself May

UGH!! Keep thinking I should START to pack or something!!! I'm sure come Monday (1 week out) I'll be getting on the ball!!!

Cleaning my house is at the top of my agenda also!!! For the SAME reason!!

It's funny, my list of things to do in this next week is GROWING!! Can't wait to start crossing things off!

yep we have taken 3 family trips to disneyworld. once in the middle of july (yuck) with all 5 of the kiddos (one being my stepdaughter) she comes in the summer so we saved for a year to get all the annual passes ect. was supposed to be there 10 days but my youngest has kidney reflux and sometimes she gets extremely ill with e-coli due to her little flap not working right..long story short she got very sick. which the doctors in orlando told us it was the stomache flu. 3 days later we packed it up early and went home (to pcola hubby is in the navy) and yep she had ecoli. We went again when hurricane ivan hit. it devastated our house and ruined everything we owned but we had a fun time in disney world and was safe!
took another trip shortly after to mnsshp in october. we had already gotten the tickets before ivan made his appearance so we went . it was fun with all of us. but my hubby is not a people person and would rather ride the rides instead of taking things in... so it is much more relaxed and fun when i go with just the kids... besides im the big disney fan in the house. and it gives me one on one time with the kids.
right now hubby is in japan. we have 4 kids so they wouldnt send us all. so it is harder to get the one on one time with the kids lately.

I see you are staying at the pop too.. maybe we will run into you!
