I really can't wait to see this movie...it looks so good...although, most likely a tear-jerker!!!

I read the book last week. I'm looking forward to the movie now.

I just finished the book too. Hope the movie is as good. I really enjoyed "Message in a Bottle" - but I cried my eyes out...:sad1:

Honestly, if i hadn't read the book, i'm not sure how interested i would be in the movie.

I loved the book and I can't wait to see the movie

I cried while I read the book (yes, I am a cry baby :)). I can't wait to see the movie. I'm going to try to talk my sister into going with me. I've got a sneaky suspicion that it won't be my hubby's kind of movie. :)

James Garner and Gena Rowlands are playing the retirement home couple. I know Rachel McAdams is playing Allie, but I'm not sure who is playing Noah.
I read the book too, but probably won't see the movie until it hits the dollar theatre. The sound sysem there is not as good, which means it isn't as loud. Since I would have to bring the new baby, I will be less worried about damaging her hearing there. I'll have to hear reviews from the rest of you until then. I can't wait! :D

This is one of the movies I want to see and I also want to read the book.

I'm assuming Noah and Allie are the two main young characters. If that is so, Noah is being played by Ryan Gosling. He is a former Mouseketeer from the much missed 90s update of the Mickey Mouse Club. You may have seen him in the Sandra Bullock thriller Murder by Numbers (he played one of the killers and actually dated Bullock in real-life for a little bit) or in the phenomenal "The Believer" - a little seen flick in which he plays a Jewish teenager who denies his Jewish heritage and becomes a neo-Nazi. Incredibly powerful film that does not end happily, but Gosling won much praise and several awards for his portrayal which was based on a true story.

I work at a movie theater and several of my co-workers have seen "The Notebook" and have said great things about it.
