I am so thrilled that we are now living in an area of the country that is actually hot and sunny throughout March and April (and most of the other months, too
) This year we are dispensing with the traditional ham and scalloped potatoes and we are going to cook out on Sunday.
Our Easter meal will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, and potatoes and onions wrapped in foil on the grill. We'll have deviled eggs, chips, cucumbers, carrots and celery. Dessert will be Easter Bunny cupcakes, Rice Krispie bird's nests, and later we'll light the firepit and enjoy S'mores.
And the real thrill will be having an Easter egg hunt outdoors! I can't wait to hide eggs in the backyard for our grandson to find. Only someone that has spent most of their Easters in New England can probably really understand my excitement!
Anyone else enjoying a backyard cookout on Easter?
