I am so thrilled that we are now living in an area of the country that is actually hot and sunny throughout March and April (and most of the other months, too;)) This year we are dispensing with the traditional ham and scalloped potatoes and we are going to cook out on Sunday.:cool1:

Our Easter meal will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, and potatoes and onions wrapped in foil on the grill. We'll have deviled eggs, chips, cucumbers, carrots and celery. Dessert will be Easter Bunny cupcakes, Rice Krispie bird's nests, and later we'll light the firepit and enjoy S'mores.

And the real thrill will be having an Easter egg hunt outdoors! I can't wait to hide eggs in the backyard for our grandson to find. Only someone that has spent most of their Easters in New England can probably really understand my excitement!:rotfl2:

We are for the very first time too! Although we are in Minnesota, so it will probably be chilly, but I don't care. Easter is "my" holiday that I have to cook for all the relatives, and I really don't feel like making ham, potatoes, etc. so I told everyone we are grilling-like it or not. I can't wait:yay:

Any excuse to BBQ is a good one! :cool1:

I wish ;)
Not that it won't be a nice dinner but my sister & her hubby insist in the traditional Easter ham dinner.

I'm not grilling for Easter but I might any other day. I've got a gas grill and I've never let the weather stop me from grilling. Well, just once--when we got 22 inches of snow in January. I didn't feel like clearing it off the top of the grill. But I grill in all kinds of weather.

Same here. I grill all yr long. I am actually sick of grilling.:lmao:

Oh, I know what you're saying about the actual grilling part. Even in the middle of winter in Maine you will find people using their outdoor grills. The THRILLING part of all this is actually getting to STAY outside and EAT outside.:) And to be able to hide eggs without shoveling snow out of the way, and to be able to have an egg hunt while wearing shorts and flip flops.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I still can't believe how much sun there is here.:upsidedow

Yep. We're getting the best steaks we can find and making some potatoes and veggies, too. Pie for dessert. Mmm.

We were planning on eating out on Easter, but a BBQ doesn't sound half bad. We live in AZ too and it's supposed to be sunny and 79, so it will be a perfect day for it. I think those deviled eggs are calling to me... ;)

Yep. We are having a pool party with baby back ribs, and other dishes. ::yes:: Nice to be outside finally after a winter that for FL standards was pretty miserable!

Only if you're inviting. What time should I be there? :rotfl:

Otherwise, no. Unfortunately DW has to work on Easter. Depending on the weather, we might try and cook out Saturday instead.

Like others, we grill all year long though. Don't need an excuse to grill.

I am so glad to see this. I was feeling guilty thinking of grilling instead of the tradional stuff :thumbsup2

I would be very happy with hot dogs on the grill, but I think my wife is going to make a roast beef so we can have leftovers for the busy week to come.

We're grilling! We're doing it on Saturday, though. We're not terribly religious (actually, the only even moderately religious people in my family are my parents), and it's also a meet-the-boyfriend kind of thing since my family wants to meet my new boyfriend. We're doing "beer can" chicken, burgers, dogs, vension steaks, chicken wings, and a few vegan dishes (I've no idea what, though). I'm also making baked macaroni and cheese and a peanut butter and chocolate cake. It'll be my parents, me and DBF, my brother and his girlfriend, and my uncle. It's supposed to be nice here on Saturday, so we're really looking forward to it (although my DBF is terrified :rotfl:)

thinking about it. I want lambchops for Easter, and it is going to be warm, and I think grilled lambchops sound really really good

We'll be cooking outside but smoking not grilling. Smoked ham, baby back ribs and baked beans are on the menu. :goodvibes

We're smoking a beef brisket. mmmmmm, can't wait!!!

I´m in ICELAND and we had a bbq last night ;) Didn´t eat out though but DH stood out on the patio and did the cooking!
