Anyone else having AOL problems?

I cannot connect to AOL because of a update of theirs that went wrong! Tech help cannot figure it out but told me a lot of people were having problems with it. I can't open other programs now and I'm getting really fustrated! Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?

We tried to update AOL instant messenger and it wouldn't work. We had to delete the update and get back an older version of instant messenger. We don't like this older version at all. What a pain.

yesh, I am. I have to disable something to connect and then enable the same thing once I am connected.

I really need to fix my AOL problem because its interferring with Ding. I think I "lost" $80 yesterday when Southwest released a great fare to Orlando and I couldn't get to it! The connectivity update AOL sent messed everything up, I can't even sign onto AOL. I really need help fixing this!

Neither am I, but I am using AOL for broadband and I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Does it have to do with AIM? We keep getting an AIM triton popup for installation but I just won't do it. WHo knows what it will do to my computer....yikes!

Mine is AOL for Broadband also, it was a connectivity update that is no good. After 4 calls to AOL tech support I was advised that they released the update too early and I need to uninstall it and reinstall AOL 7.0 from a disk. I have to go find a disk somewhere now and then call them back so I could install the hidden files of the earlier edition. Do not update! They said it would be about a week before it is all worked out.

I'm having so much trouble with AOL that it's driving me crazy. I have broadband and sometimes I get knocked off every 5 minutes. I wrote to them and they sent me some things to try but the first two haven't helped. I've got one more thing to check, but I couldn't find the conductivity srv program in the list under operating system that they say to click on. Does anyone else know if it could be called something else? If I can't fix it, I'll have to call them.
