Yeah, I saw that. If they're having to cancel lots of flights due to "sick calls", etc., that means they're trying to save money by not being fully staffed. Fully staffed means that normal operations can continue even when you have some workers out for sick and personal leave.

The big joke with calling the cancelation for weather is so they can limit what recourse the passengers have. Weather is out of their control. Now, staffing issues on the other hand, that is in their control, so by admitting that, well, it's a whole other issue.
