DH had a card with money in it (in place of flowers since I work at a place who usually does roses for Valentine's Day and I always bring some leftovers home instead of buying:))
We saw Valentine's Day this morning (both really liked it) came home and lounged around with our pups. We had yummy comfort food for lunch and a nap.

We are going to dinner this week to avoid crowds and he is taking me to pick out a couple of Disney DVDs for our collection.

I just went upstairs and he'd baked brownies from scratch, make chocolate syrup and we are going to have brownie sundaes like we always get from Ghiradelli at Downtown Disney. (We are both experiencing post Disney blues)

Later on we are going to watch a movie after some chinese food... we always get chinese food for v-day.

I hope there are a few other ladies (and men) having a good day, so tell me about your day!

I've had a great day--by NOT celebrating!!;) We never do.

Got up and went to Wegman's to do my usual Sunday grocery shopping. The only difference was I had to dodge all the "last minute men" crowded around the balloon and flower stand that they had to set up right in the produce section?:confused3 Made me glad that I don't buy into that frenzy.

Took my son to Gamestop and then we went to Arby's.

DH spent the day helping his father who had knee surgery.

Yes, we are having a good day too. My husband and I got each other a card, a small gift, and some candy. I got ds some candy. We don't do much else. Just a few small things to make the day special.:goodvibes

Yes we are. Started out with a nice breakfast date with my dh. It was nice, romantic and cheap! And we laughed a lot. Then we came home and played some games*yes video games and I am 44! but we had fun. Exchanged some gifts. Smiles all around. Played with the kids. Watched a Disney planning dvd.

Now I am waiting for shrimp to thaw for scampi. And then we'll all watch the Amazing Race together. A nice end to a very nice day.
Oh and I have to try to make the Maggianos Fried Zucchini. If I get the energy to. But I am a happy girl.

It's been find.
DH got home last night after being out the country for 3 weeks....so I didn't expect anything from him.
But he did get me a nice scarf from India and 3 pins from Disneyland Hong Kong (from the airport) :yay:
We went out to eat last night......out for a quick little lunch today and to a movie.
Now he is trying to fix my broken clothes dryer.

I had to work all day, but I came home to a clean house, candles set up around our jacuzzi, a glass of wine ready for me, and now my husband is cooking me lobster and steak for dinner:lovestruc

Our day has been pretty nice. I was the last one up last night and at the table a put a red heart balloon at each dd's place with a small box of chocolates (heart shaped) and a VDay scratch off lottery ticket. At DH's place I put a lottery ticket and a box of chocolate covered pretzels he loves. He went to work for a few hours this morning but said that DD age 3 came out this morning before he left all sleepy and asked who left all these hearts all over the place? :cutie: I got to sleep in and when he came home he brought me a plant. Then he helped DD deliver Valentines to all the neighbor kids.

I was planning to make a special dinner with shrimp scampi, some seafood appetizers I bought at the grocery store and a chocolate cake, but one DD is recovering from a stomach virus--just started eating yesterday, one is in the midst of it and just as I was thinking about making dinner, DH said he thinks his round is imminent:sick: Other DD and I haven't had it yet and I'm thinking tonight is not the night for an elaborate dinner although until he said he wasn't eating I was still going to make it. We will just do it another night.

For us it is a low key day and despite the sickness, it has still been a nice day. Usually we get the stomach virus around Christmas and we missed it this year and I am glad of that.

I had the best! It's a (smaller)milestone anniversary for us today, too. We went into the city(Chicago) last night stayed at The Talbott hotel, ate at the Chop House, had champagne & chocolate covered strawberries! I also got the best gift ever! And HE planned it all. For the first time I didn't have to do anything! I'm so lucky!

I just came back from a trip to Europe and I've been exhausted, trying to get back on our time zone. I slept in and woke up to breakfast that DF went and bought (he's so not a chef :lmao:) and then we exchanged gifts. DS is also home this weekend which we had not planned :thumbsup2

Then we've watched "Couples Retreat" :thumbsup2 and the Olympics. Also went and saw both sets of parents and exchanged awesome gifts. Now we're watching a DVD until the Olympics and Amazing Race comes on.

We've had a very nice day :goodvibes

We had a great one. DH made me chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, gave me a card and said my gift is still in transit (too much snow). I gave him a card and some candy he loves. We spent the day together. Our DD got a card and candy and gave each of us on of her valentines from her box.

Great day! Worked around the farm, taught ab few lessons, then we went food shopping, bought a pizza and are going to spend a quiet night watching movies, the Olympics eating pizza and ice cream!

ANY day I spend with DH is a great day. I love him to pieces. I wouldn't care if we were together knee deep in manure (and we've HAD those days...literally). If we're together, we're doing good!

We had a great Valentine's Day!! We didn't get out of bed until 10 - I'm usually up at 4am. Exchanged gifts, went shopping for lamps we'd agreed to get for each other, went out for sushi-found a new fav spot! We'll be drinking champagne in about 10 minutes. I got roses and a hilarious card. DH picked out his own card and it was so stupidly funny, yes he picked out his own card because I've been sick all week and never made it out to get him one. He's a very cute guy, glad I've got him around. We got DS a small box of candy, a cute card and another year of online xbox360 play. He was ecstatic!!!

We went out to dinner last night - very nice evening together.
