So we are heading to AKV next weekend for three nights. Today we added on an additional night, which by the way is the second add-on from our initial three night ressie. So now we're doing two nights at Port Orleans on AP discount (cheaper than the local Fairfield Inn!) in addition to our original stay at AKV.

When we went in January we also added time on when we were at the actual resort.

Does anyone else have the problem of expanding their Disney trips up until the last minute?! Seems almost like a disease and the only cure is MORE DISNEY!!!

And I guess this is the near term version of add-on-its...

I hear you................we're constantly in borrowing points mode.......AND for our trip in January (2bdrm BLT)we're arriving two days early and staying the weekend at POR. We've got to scale back 2010 trips because our youngest DS is planning to apply to the College Program next fall for Spring 2011.....so we know we'll need extra points for at least January to end of May 2011!!!!

Yes, and I stayed at the same resorts as you -- AKV and POR. I justified it through cheaper airfare....whatever it takes, right? :thumbsup2

I always seem to add a day. Our December trip was to begin on Saturday December 12th...I added on the 11th, when I was able to get a value studio for the 1 night. The rest of the trip is at VWL.:goodvibes

We just returned from 2 nites at AKV which were planned and before we left we added 1 nite at Carribbean Beach. We went to the beach for a few days before Disney and left one day early from the beach and called the day before and got 1 nite at Pop. It was many moves but it was worth it.

Ditto here, always start with a 6 or 7 day trip end on 10 or more days. Hubby always waits for the time off request from work until I actually book the air. In Jan I am going for 6 days in a 1 bedroom Beach club, and using the 40% off Disney Visa Promo for only 96% a night for the last 3 nights.. (at POR) I had 1 more, originally, but now saving those points for a labor day trip! CAN'T beat 306$ for 3 more nights, without using 41 points for 1 night :)

Count me in too!

We added an extra night to the end of our recent trip.

After checking price and availability at the Disney Moderates we decided to go with the Hilton at DTD. It was about the same price, we got all the perks of being on-site and stayed in a real hotel, not a motel.

We're doing the same thing in January........only we're adding the 40%off mod stay (2 rooms) at the beginning of our trip, which is NYD to 1/3. It's higher than $96, because it's still holiday pricing, but, still less than paying weekend points at BLT in a 2 bdrm.

The PO-Riverside room we got were nearly 50% off. Must be hurting if they've got availability at that rate right now!
