Anyone Else Have a Kid Starting Kindergarten Soon???

My baby, DS is starting kindergarten as well. He turned 5 on June 10. I had some concerns about sending him because he is a small guy and also wears glasses, but at the screening no one even recommended readiness K, let alone staying home. He has two years of preschool and is very verbal, although he hates writing and coloring.
Now he has injured his leg, not a break but he hasn't walked on it for almost a week, I am hoping he starts soon so I don't have to take him back to the orthopedist Monday--anyhow he is really regressing and getting spoiled by this, and school is 2 1/2 weeks away! Hope things get back to normal soon.

WooHoo! Not children, but 2 Granddaughters. 5 1/2 years ago I went to work nights so I could sit them during the day while their Mothers worked. My days of freedom are almost here. We have all day kindergarden, I will be getting them for a few hours in the afternoon a couple of days a week.

The thoughts of going shopping and not having to check out the toy section of the store is very exciting. No more Disney Channel or Nick Jr. I might actually be able to watch a craft show.

My first order is to take a vacation. I'm thinking of taking a few classes after the holidays.
