Anyone else have a body part that can predict the weather?

I know a storm is coming, I knew it before I looked at the Weather channel because for some unknown reason I get a migraine any time there is a significant stir in the weather?

I suppose it would be useful if I was an old time ship captain or a hiker because a storm could never ever sneak up on me, but as it stands for me now, there is no benefit to me at all.

Anyone else?

My right knee, it aches when we are going to get rain or snow.

Yep! I've had arthritis in my right shoulder since I was about 16 and developed it in my left wrist after a nasty broken forearm, so storms don't tend to sneak up on me anymore, either.

arthritis in my hips-if i start to ache we are in for a drop in the temp (was bugging me the last few days and sure enough we dropped below freezing last night).

My right wrist aches when there will be rain. Hairline fracture in '85 and break in '99 made it my "weather predictor".

Yep, I know when the seasons change for good.. like I knew summer wasn't over yet because my wrist (broken in 90 & 93) didn't swell up and feel like its broken again yet...

I broke my kneecap 2x about 35 years ago..and if we are gonna get snow..it aches like crazy!

My back does now after having a discectomy. DH has a shoulder that does too (torn labrum surgery last year).

Same for me and adult DD - the headaches.. From what I've read, it's caused by the rise and fall of the barometric pressure - for certain individuals..

I had to laugh when I read the thread title. If anyone has seen the movie, Mean Girls, you'll know why I found the title funny. :rotfl2:

I had surgery on my left knee 4 years ago to repair a torn ACL. Ever since then, it aches like crazy for a few days before it rains or snows.

My right knee acts up and if it going to be a bad storm, I get a migraine too.

I get a migraine right before a rain storm and the worse it is the harsher the storm.

As a preteen and teen, I could tell when it was going to get strange, weather-wise, because of my finger. At 10 or 11 my brother and I managed to get my finger caught in a slamming door, and the bone is right there at the tip of the finger, not much covering it (a normal finger has a good bit of flesh over the tip of the bone, which you only realize when you lose most of it), and after it healed, it would ache like crazy when weather changed.

Same for me. I have learned how to lesson the pain after many years of this.

Two excedrin, sip on a red coke, no ice. Very hot shower followed by as cold as you can take water flowing over my head in the shower. It really helps for me.

my whole right arm actually. i have broke everything from my shoulder and just recently my right wrist. so i always tell people that my right arm is nothing but a big weather vane.

My favorite scene is at the end when she is standing in a rainstorm, grabbing her "weather predictors", saying there might be a chance of rain. :rotfl:

My 15 year old dd broke her collarbone a few years ago. Today she told me it was killing her and lo and behold we just had a huge storm. We were also cracking up about 'Mean Girls'

I am a human barometer--when the barometric pressure drops I get horrible sinus headaches that trigger sick migraine headaches if the low pressure system stalls for any length of time.
