Anyone else get the JCP $10 "not-a-coupon"?

Got a letter from JCP in the mail yesterday. I haven't bought a single thing at the store since they went to the no-coupon policy. I used to use their $10 off a $10 purchase coupons all the time. Well, lo and behold, attached to the letter was a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon. They did not call it a coupon, but it's a coupon . Just like they used to send in the good old days . I will definitely be spending mine. Anyone else get this letter? BTW-- I almost threw it away b/c it looked like typical junk mail. So, be watching your mail box . --Katie

They semt me two. One in each of the emails they have for me. They let me use them both on the same transaction. Two pairs of skinny jeans for a little over $4!!

I got one too, but didn't realize it til after I had already bought a dress. Think I could get it price adjusted?

I got mine last week some time. I bought a new polo shirt. I miss the old JC Penney.

I got one in the mail...used to shop JCP all the time but not with new policy.

Anyway, when I went to use it, the salesperson told me that they are only giving them out to JCP credit card holders.

I say, "um, no. Not all, since I got one and am not a JCP cardholder."

I will say, that I do like the look of the store now -- it is much better than before and I actually took the time to try on like 15 things.

So the "gift card" worked for me ... got me back in the store and I bought more than the $10.

I got mine and I am just not in a hurry to use it. I used to shop there frequently but I am not a fan of any of the changes I.e pricing or the catalogue

I got one in email last week and a letter today with another one in it. I used the first one today before getting my mail. They had some nice clearance in the girls' section so I was able to find some clothes for Christmas gifts. i will head back later to find some more stuff.

Hope they send me one soon! I used to shop there quite a bit, especially with those $10 coupons. Ever since they changed things I rarely even go there, let alone purchase anything. Hate their new pricing thing.

Received one in the mail today. I think they are mabne, just maybe, looking to see the response they get with this since the latest reviews show that women have dropped shopping at JCP drastically since they stopped offering coupons. If they get a great response (and why wouldn't they? Not too many people are going to pass up free money) perhaps it will persuade them to go back to offering coupons again.

I got the email and I'm not a card holder either. I used mine last week on a bunch of clearance underwear for my girls. They had the really cute bikinis and thongs for $2 each, so I got 5 pairs free and purchased extra, too.

I need to use mine today before I forget about it.

I took DS to JCP with me on Sunday and the place was like a ghost town. I could seriously do cartwheels in the empty space. Not only were there no customers, but the merchandise was seriously limited.

I talked to an employee that I knew and asked her what the deal was. She said "You are a smart girl, you already know what is going on."

Anyway, DS could not find anything - even free - that he really wanted.

I figure if I go back today I could at least get him some underwear or something for his birthday.

But yeah. Our store was a sad store.
