Anyone else get a DVC call saying to hold off on resigning Aulani deed papers?

Has anyone called or contacted Disney to see if signing the new joint contract will affect the subsidizing of our dues? I would certainly want something in writing to say it won't. I just picked up the Fed Ex package today so haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.

Boy, did they screw up on Aulani, or what. One big thing after another from the beginning.

A few weeks ago we got a fed ex package with a new Aulani deed that needed to be notarized. They had us as individuals instead of joint tenancy. We put it off, meaning to call DVC as we were concerned to do it as our dues are subsidized at Aulani,

Today I got a phone call to hold off signing the papers. A letter will be mailed in a week and new papers in a few weeks. What is going on here??????

I don't know but all these charges to fedex documents better not be coming out of our dues due to it being their error!

Wonder how this will affect those who already sent it back. The message said due to new "updates", we will be receiving a letter in a week and new papers in a few weeks. A letter preceding the fed ex package with a thorough explanation would have been nice the first time around.

Let's see what happens with this. Can't believe we are the only ones who got this call.

As you know, how a deed is titled can make a HUGE difference legally. Hope everyone examines the new paperwork very carefully before signing & returning it.

It's really weird. We received new Aulani deed docs by fed ex about 2 weeks ago out of the blue. Disney said the reason was that it was originally titled individual not joint for my husband and me. They said they would credit our dues $20 for the notary cost and sent a prepaid fed ex envelope to send it back. That was it. No other explanation. We have not had a chance to call Disney yet to ask will this new deed change affect our subsidized Aulani dues. Then I get a phone call today from DVC to hold off sending in the papers. A letter and new papers will be arriving. Really weird if you ask me. I wonder if the people that sent it in already found this reset their dues????? Disney has some 'splainin' to do!!

Received our paperwork also couple weeks ago and then received the phone call earlier this week. Was informed they were sending out letters to explain the phone call and the new paperwork. I believe the paperwork was sent out without explaining everything and now they are trying to make up for it. Ask specifically if signing the new paperwork will be affecting dues and was informed that it would not. So now waiting for the letter and the new paperwork.

Interesting. Our call said there were "new updates". Definitely something fishy here.

We were just saying we wanted to get it in writing that signing this wouldn't unsubsiduze our dues. But we haven't gotten a call about it. Maybe the new paperwork will include something about that in the letter.

We absolutely feel the same. Hopefully this will be addressed in the paperwork we will receive.

We own at Aulani and this is news to me. We have not heard anything about this.

We recently purchased at Aulani and had zero issues with our,paperwork and deed. Good luck! I'm sure it is an error, I don't see this being anything other than an oversight. Disney avoids legal issues at all costs so I'm sure it's fine.

This mess is similar to the OKW contract extension mess. Little if any info from Disney and the information that was provided was confusing.
