Anyone else forget to hide the eggs last night?

Usually, we go to church and when we return the Easter Bunny has hidden eggs and left a basket on the front porch while we were gone. He's an opportunist. :rotfl2: But stormy weather was predicted for this morning, starting early, so we were uncertain as to whether he'd be able to do his job.

We decided to go to the 8:30 service instead of the 10:00 in hopes of making it home before the rain hit. We headed home from church and DH dropped me off while he and DD make a speedy quick trip to the store to get milk. It was starting to sprinkle. Miraculously, during that brief time, the Easter Bunny hid the eggs and left a big old basket!

DD got home, spotted the basket and eggs and the hunt was on! Once we got the (plastic) eggs inside, I checked them out. We had a trespasser! A tiny slug had glommed on to one of the eggs in the short time it was outside. :lmao: I had to free that sucker. :rotfl: About that time, the downpour started, so we got very lucky with our timing. :thumbsup2

Dh got up at 5:45 this morning to hide them outside before we went to the 6:30 sunrise service. It was only about 35 degrees this morning that early. When got back by 8:30, the sun was up so the kids could see them and they went scurrying around picking them up. We had them back in their cartons by 8:45. So, 3 hours out with 2 of them being outside in 35 degree weather...we're still eating them!
