Last year there were quite a few DISer's for April. Wondering what the numbers are looking like for this upcoming April?

Count us in. We are going from April 8-17 and staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter. This will be our first trip during April vacation and from what I hear it can be quite busy. We went in 2006 during 4th of July week and that was busy too and much too hot.

So we are just hoping for better weather and a good time!!!!!!

Finally!! We were there last April and I actually found some evening cool. We are going a little later this year and so far the numbers look better than they did last yer for us!

Are we the only two families going in April... wow we will have the parks to our selves:cool1:

And we aren't even going at the same time!! We will have the run of the place!!! LOL Have you told your children yet that you are going? We are trying to decide if we want to tell our girls for their Bday(Feb 10) or for Easter. We told them last year on Christmas day so I don't want to do the same thing over again!

We told them already. I can't keep all that excitement to myself. I am raising little Disney junkies. The funny thing is my daughter was 3 when we went in 2006 and believe it or not she really remembers alot about that trip. My son was only 10mths old then but he claims he remembers it too!!!

But when we go in April she will be closer to 6 and my son will be 3.5, but we just had another baby who will be 16mths when we go. So we will need to come back again for him.

This is the first time going in April during school vacation. I am a little nervous about the crowds but I just can not take the heat anymore and we can't go during Sept or Oct since my DH is a school teacher and he can't really get time out. So we are stuck going with everyone else:scared1:

We are also going in April 09: from 13th -19th. I'm a little concerned about crowds, but I have decided that we will just do as much as we can and if we have to miss some of the attractions due to long lines, then so be it. We were at Disneyland last year, so I dont feel so bad about missing things at Magic Kingdom. Just hope the other 3 parks wont be as busy...

We'll be there about the same time. :goodvibes Are you coming from Australia? How long is the flight?

Yes we are coming from Australia. We fly first to San Francisco (13.5 hrs!!) where we stay for a few days. Then off to New York for 5 nights and Philly for 4 nights to visit family. We fly from Philly to Orlando on Monday 13th (arriving 12.35pm). Stay for 6 nights (depart midday on 19th) and then fly to Hawaii for 4 nights before returning back home (10 hours from Hawaii).... a lot flying! But it will be a great trip.:woohoo:

we are going April 2-7, staying at AS Music Family Suites. My older son can't make it so I am taking my younger son's friend along- lucky him!!

Wow jaykat.... that is alot of flying. You will be seeing more of the US than I have. I have only been up/down the east coast. Someday I will love to visit Australia.

we are going for the first time in April (the 18th thru the 25). We usually go in July and are trying to catch a break from the heat and humidity. I know it will still be hot, but hopefully a little better !! and I know the crowds are nuts- but they are nuts in mid-July too so I think we can cope with that.
I am also looking forward to less rain !!! I hear it's one of the dryer months :rotfl: we have had our share of July rain :lmao:
can't wait- headed back to Fort Wilderness :cheer2:

We'll be there Oct 9th - 12th (no kids) and again April 27th through May 6th at OKW (with kids) . We normally go in the end of April or May. The wether is great! Barely any rain if any at all and no humidity or bugs. The nights still do get a bit cool.
If your going during the Easter vacation, prepare yourself for BIG crowds. We typically go 2 weeks after Easter break and we never had to wait any longer then 15 mins for any ride!:cheer2:

We were just there May 30th-June8th and it hadn't gotten crowded yet, but was very hot!!! We are going back Oct 10-17--count down is on and cant wait. We Love WDW and can't get enough of it.

Just officialy booked our package for April 8-17th:cool1: :cool1:

We decided on the ddp. Since I want to do quite a few character meals it seems that it will be a better deal.

Just can't wait:cool1: :cool1:

DH and I will be going april 19- 25th! can't wait! we'll probably be staying at All Star Music.
