posting pictures of themselves in their signature? I feel like I know everyone by their pictures, and I wonder if people don't get to know the "non-picture-posters," because they can't get a visual. I just broke down and posted a picture of the back of my son...that's about as far as I'll go right now. :)

Yeah, Im not happy with my own image right now (just started Weight Watchers) maybe next year i'll put my own pic in my signature.
Those are two of my beautiful nieces in the pictures now.

You are so silly!lol!!! I like posting my pics for different reasons. Since I first added my pic of me and dd in my sig many people have asked me about where we had it done b/c they have never noticed that in disney. I really enjoyed having people see what I look like with my mask on.

The truth is each of my pics has a great little story and this way every time I see them it just reminds me of them.

The one of dd and me with our faces painted was this past dec we were waiting for the holiday storyteller in Italy. I am half Italian and love my Italian heritage so we took this pic as soon as we were done DD made her royal way to center of the courtyard and on to the square/stage. She preformed her on little show for everyone that was sitting in the shade waiting for the storyteller and she doesn't even know it, you could see her talking and pretending that she was telling the story.

The pic of DH and my youngest DD is from our July trip it was my first trip back after two years of a lot of chemo and radiation and stem cell transplant. We just arrived that morning and our room wasn't ready at the Poly yet so we hoped on the bus and headed to MGM we had a 3pm ressie that day and DD6's favorite ride is ToT. While sitting on the bus both of them fell asleep the pic was taken after they moved. They had another older couple sitting on the bus and they were each reading a newpaper. The gentlemen saw them and he thought they were praying. The pic was definitely a must take but when the camera flashed DH turned and my pic is the end result.

Sometimes I wonder who it is that I am talking about and think it would be nice to see a pic but it is your choice if you want to post some or not we/I enjoy talking to everyone just the same.

Hey I am with you.. I like your picture of pooh.. I am with you on that one..

I can understand the OP's reluctance to post photos of her children but I am a scrapbooker and post my layouts with photos of my family to online galleries all the time so I got over that fear a long time ago. That being said I suppose I should add an avatar. :D I just won't have any Disney photos for a few more weeks.

YES, I AM SHY, I DON'T THINK YOU'LL EVER SEE PICTURES OF ME. ALSO, I BET THE PEOPLE WHO FLAME PEOPLE ALL THE TIME WANT TO BE INVISIBLE!!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
JUST KIDDING;)
SUMMERLANDJEFF THAT IS HILARIOUS

I'm very reluctant to post pics. You never know who is reading your posts, and where your pics may end up! Maybe I'm paranoid, but thats just me. :upsidedow

I really like seeing what people look like and really if anyone wants to steal a photo of us with tigger and post it in strange places then they must be pretty weird and I'm sure they wouldn't read the DIS.

Some of us have not figured out how to add to our signature- like myself. AND it takes a long time to upload those pics!

:rolleyes1

My DH does not want pictures of our kids posted, so I just don't post pictures at all.

**I did post pictures one time, because some DISers wanted to see pics of the Mickey swirl-head shirts I made. DD & DS were wearing the shirts.

I try to not post pics especially of my kids. bet a lot of nuts would love trolling these sites..you give dates when and where you will be, what you are wearing the ages of your kids, cities you live in etc....
I don't blame the poster not posting family pics

:) I can understand the reasoning, as it took me a while to post a pic of DS. I just feel that there are so many people in WDW at a given time, it would be very difficult to find a certain child you saw on the DIS from a tiny picture. That's just how I look at it. To each his own.... :)

It's everyone's own decision to post there picture or not.

I dont blame him. I am of the "anti-picture" crowd. I find that to be very uncomfortable, especially since several members of my family do, or have, worked in law enforcement. I have seen, 2nd hand, what can happen from innocent postings like these. Take a look at the stink that has been made over myspace - there have actually been predators who tracked down children through postings on myspace, among others. It is really not that hard in this digital age to find out almost anything about a person, all it takes is a small ammount of effort and you can get everything on a person, right down to their address and telephone number!

I guess I don't feel weird posting a pic of my daughter. I picked that picture because she was playing with JoJo and had a cinderella dress on, neither of which you can really see in the pic.

I don't know how much "easier" I make it for someone to hurt us. My husband thinks I am naive, I just want to be positive I guess.

I also joined Weight Wtachers recently. You may be seieng more pics of me when I get close to my goal weight.

Hi there.
I am brand new and I am interested in posting pictures, but not sure how. Can anyone help?

Hi, as you can see I am not afraid of posting pictures of myself or my family on here. I have yet to hear of a kidnapping at Disney. True there are scary people on the net, but they can also be at the store, restaurant, school... I didn't know if I wanted to do it at first, but then I seen all these cool trip reports, and they weren't scared to show their families :) BTW I have like 50lbs to loose.. I love pictures. I don't know, I guess I feel I have nothing to hide, so show everyone! :rotfl:

IATink~ go to your siggy and click on the mountain picture (it's between an envelope and quote box), and put in a url address. I have a photobucket account that I download pictures on there and get the url address off that. :goodvibes Hope that made sense!
