Anyone else feel anxious after booking?

Yes, special email with a one-time use only code. It was like 20 characters long so not like their normal promo codes. I was truly shocked when I received it and even MORE surprised that it worked for the onsite hotels. I really don't know why I received it. I signed up for their mailing list a few months ago and have been checking rates religiously. I also bought my park hoppers using the Orbitz/ebates deal earlier this year.

I have also been checking Cheaptickets whenever a new code comes out, but they are never good for onsite!

Thanks for the info!

Yes it is ridiculously expensive, but it is so worth it (to me) for the magic and memories. What a lovely treat for your family! Go, and enjoy! Research shows that money spent on experiences is better for well-being and long term satisfaction than money spent on possessions :)

I am really starting to get on board with this philosophy! We just moved over the weekend and the amount of crap that I had to get rid of before the move was ridiculous. Now I am in the process of unpacking and I'll pull something out of a box and think, "why did I buy this?". You are so right, the magic and the memories mean so much more. I am so excited about this trip now! Thanks everyone for putting it all into perspective for me :)

We most likely.. well...make that WOULD... stay offsite if we didn't get the discount. And like you mentioned those too are expensive! We just decided that with the discounts making both onsite and offsite around the same amount.. why not for a little more stay at one of the three hotels. Very happy about the decision... It's so nice to never have to leave the Disney property :lovestruc

I definitely agree that even though it is expensive...it is so much fun and definitely worth it! We ALWAYS have a great time and can't wait to get back and do it all over again!

I have spent so much time researching offsite hotels that have suites and/or connecting rooms, but just could not find anything that wowed me. For this trip I especially want the extra magic so I am now feeling better about my decision to stay onsite. I don't know if I would have pulled the trigger if I hadn't received that amazing discount though. I feel like I got a big dose of pixie dust before our trip has even started :) I really can't wait for our trip now!!

You kinda have to look at the difference of hotel prices rather than just the onsite hotel price. In other words, let's say you stay four nights offsite at $200. That means it's gonna cost you $800 anyway. If you can get onsite for $400 a night you might think wow, that's $1600! But if you say "well, for $800 more I can stay onsite"! it might not seem as bad. At least that's what I keep telling myself :rotfl2:
