In eleven more days we will be in WDW and I just don't seem excited at the moment. I love disney, talk about disney, even at the ripe old age of 52 just got my first tattoo of thumper.

Is it just because I have planned and worked so hard (with the help of DU) and just have wore myself out and just need to calm down and take a rest. I know that it will come back but just seems funny to be so close to the date and feel kind of blah.

I know how you feel. We went on a cruise with the WHOLE family (aunts, uncles, granparents-16 people total, ages from 2 years to 83 years old). We found out in September and didn't go until June. Everyone talked about it so much that it got old by the time it came. I just wasn't excited about it. I wanted to go, but I was much more excited in September. I hope you have a great trip!!! Say hi to the mouse for me!

I frequently see people here make the very same kind of post as yours. ::yes::

I completely understand. I feel the same way before every trip. I tell myself each time that I'm going to swear off the Disboards to get myself more excited, but alas I'm addicted.

It will all change though either the day of, when your getting on that plane/car/train or at that moment when you check in. Or maybe the first time you see a mickey bar. It will come back!

Enjoy your trip!

Almost every single trip. I am always more excited once I'm there though. LOL it usually hits me the day before....so I am up all night :(

I have seen that posted here many times in the past. Do you have the vacation plannig video's? If so go pop it in and really watch it while saying to yourself "I can't believe I will be there!"
I hope you have a magical trip! :wizard:

We have a room booked for October, but didn't buy the plane tickets yet.
We are actually thinking of canceling. We get this way sometimes, but always end up going and having a good time. Once you are there, you will feel the magic :wizard:

Ha! Today is wednesday and we leave on friday and I am not excited AT ALL! But I know that this happens every time we take a trip. I still have a lot to do before we go so I get myself all stressed out. Tomorrow the kids are in camp in the morning so I will get packing. I have the list to hang on the door for things we can't forget (passes, licenses, flight & resort info) so that makes me feel better. I have been keeping up with the laundry, tomorrow I will clean the house a bit so we don't come home to a filthy one (I hate that..) and my parents will come over to visit a bit. (They are the ones watching the house and animals while we are gone)

Our kids go back to school two days after we get home so that is also a stressor. I HATE to fly but will go the under three hours to Orlando...I am worried on how DS & DH will do in the florida heat since this is our first summer trip..I also worry about DD but she's usually a trooper..oh, there's A LOT I worry about before a trip! I physically make myself sick and that is so stupid..

Once we land in Orlando and we hit the monorail to go pick up our luggage then I am usually fine. Our first two nights we will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and that first night we have no plans - hope to just chill out by the pool. We are meeting friends from home at the HDDR on monday night and that should be fun. I just hope that we get to do even half the things we have planned.. :)

I hope that you get to enjoy your vacation too. Looks like we will be passing each other as we head home on the 28th....

I get depressed right before we leave.
Its because all the anticipation of waiting and planning are OVER,
For me. it also means that even though vacation hasnt started yet, it willbe over soon.

Thanks everyone, I feel better now.

Got through the twins 6th birthday yesterday and now I can concentrate on WDW. One week from Saturday and we will be on our way. Still don't have the butterflies yet but that is probably because I am now thinking of everything that needs to be done before we go. :scared:
