We had a really bad experience here. 2 years ago we waited to be seated for almost 2 hours then When we sat down they brought us out cold bread.....then we ordered the crab legs and greens for 30$ each. Well when they brought it out it was barely 3 oz of meat and the butter already had crab legs in it like it had been reused! Yuck the greens were not edible greens so we ended up paying 30$ a plate for 3 oz of meat each!!! We left starving to death and the service wasnt great either. Luckily we were able to laugh this off b/c we were on vacation!! We said we were "craptn Jacked" and the rest of the vacation every time we were let down again we would just say "Craptn Jacked Again!!" and laugh. Anyway, I just wanted to warn any of you that may want to go there. BE careful We did not like it at all and we will eat anything! H

Limit your consumption at Crap'n Jack's to drinks only and you will leave much wealthier AND more content! :D Bad food, bad service, never again. . .

we ate there several years ago and have not returned. the service was slow, although the restaurant was not crowded and the food was way overpriced for what we got. not the best dining experience. have not returned and have no plans to do so in the future.:p

 Yikes! how sad! We ate at Captain Jacks on our first visit to WDW back in 1989, and we go there everytime we visit the marketplace. We have yet to have a bad experience there, and have been there over 35 times! We live an hour and a half from WDW and go at least once a month. { DVC members, Disney dining club} They have the best crab cakes in the area. Really sorry you had a bad time.:( Maybe give it another shot someday?:p

:( PS: oops sorry, forgot a point. With the exception of maybe the buffet at cape may cafe, isn't most disney food overpriced for what you get? :p

We just ate at Cap n Jacks aboout three weeks ago, had great service, great food!

We have loved Capn Jacks for years! Each trip, we have shrimp, chowder and Bloody Marys at least twice! This just goes to show how differently our opinions differ on this board. I also think that the crablegs there are a luxury, since they come pre split. The only thing that dissapoints me about Capn Jack's is that they took the Lobster salad sandwich off of the menu!

I cannot believe that you got such poor service and a bad meal. That is my favorite place when I go down there. I love their claim chowder. I have never had poor service and I think the atmosphere is great. Sure if you go at lunch or dinner time you are going to have to wait to get in. Sorry that you had such a poor experience.

I know you have to wait in Disney world duh!! haha I waited many times and it did not bother me. What did bother me is waiting for food that was no good, the bread was cold, and butter that had already been used. Maybe they were having a bad day the day we were there, it happens everywhere. Restuarants are not perfect they are operated by humans. But, it is only natural that one forms an opinion about a place and that is the one that sticks with us. We all do it. Now atleast I know the restuarant is not always as horrible as it was when we went!! I would hate to think Disney had service as bad as the sevice I received! LOL! I still can not bring myself to go back though, you understand. We all have experiences that cause this reaction whether that be with a restuarant, a brand or a service. It does not mean the service is always bad but it does leave a sour place in our minds. So if you have not eaten there go ahead and try it!! Hopefully you will not have the same experience that I had!! :)

:( I find it very hard to beleive they gave you butter that had already beeen used. ! How did you know that? If any restaurant gave me butter that was already used, I would get the manager out to look at it ASAP! And then raise holy heck! And that is defenitly againest health regulations here in Florida!

Service was very nice, too.

No offense, but I just wouldn't wait two hours, even if it was a much finer dining spot that Captain Jack's.

I'm always leery of these posts that proclaim it was the worst meal they've ever had and they'll never ever go back.

I've eaten at many, many places at WDW, and nothing has ever been so terrible that I had to come on these boards to warn people.

Used butter?? Give me a break.

No the reason I thought the butter was used was b/c there was a piece of crab meat in it already. It is not like I continued to eat from it. I just did not use it. I did not know that I would have judgment passed on me for simply posting to this board. I really do not appreciate the way you act as if I am lying about it. Come on lets not be catty. No hard feelings if you did not mean it this way. Well to everyone else....Please have a wonderful day!! YAY!! DISNEY GETTING CLOSER!!!!!

Didn't you bring this to the server's attention??????? There is no way I would have continued eating that meal without saying something to the server and maybe even the manager.

No I didn't I know I should have but The place was so freaking busy and our waiter could barely keep up. We did not see him much except when he was running by. Plus, I just did not feel like making a big deal about it. We just let it go b/c we knew we would just get upset. That is why we also just made it into something we could laugh at. It was our vacation and Disney world is such a amazing place that we were able to simply laugh it off. My husband just simply used mine. It would have been a different story had they not been so busy and if we were back home.

Has anyone eaten something other than the seafood there? We like the margarita's at the little dockside bar, but would like to try the restaurant if they have something different on the menu.
