Anyone else counting down until the day after election day?

Because it means the campaigning will end?

I'm so tired of the phone calls, and the ads, and the signs. This morning I got a phone call asking me if I was Christian or had no religion. Yes that was the only 2 choices.
Between the negative campaigning here in RI and the negative campaigning in MA we're being besieged around here and it's cast such a cloud of negative energy on the area and I can't wait until it's over.

Thankfully we DVR more TV these days and don't have to see most of the TV ads. The ones I have seen are terrible. One Democratic candidate has an ad going on about how much the other candidate spent in his personal life.

I'd say yes, except I'm not looking forward to the DIS in the days following the elections (and normally, I kind of like political debates).

I would gladly deal with here the day after if it means no more gigantic "Vote Yes on Question 1" signs everywhere

I watch everthing on Tivo so I can fast forward through the commercials. It's impossible to watch the local news in real time because of them. I check news and weather on the web now.

I can't wait either! It's been horrible this year. We don't have Tivo, so we're trying to find things to do during commercials because we're tired of them. The other thing we've been bombarded with are phone calls. Luckily, they are doing most of the calling while we are at work, so we come home to messages that we can delete, but it's still really annoying.

Oh, I can't wait! I am sooooo sick of all the negative ads! I just wish the candidates would tell us what THEY would do for us instead of trying to trash the other guy all the time.

It's pretty sad - you don't vote for the best person for the job any more. You vote for the lesser of two evils. All the negative campaigning only makes me not want to vote for either candidate, but you have to choose someone. So I pick whichever one annoys me the least. Sad.
