Anyone else being impacted by new Netflix "throttling" method?

I'm a little late on this thread, but two weeks in a row I've had two movies come from different areas. One from my state, but from Jacksonville and not my local Panama City distributor and another from California. It used to bug me, but it doesn't happen too often. I found it funny that the two movies that happened to were in the same genre....Hercules and Xena...isn't that a hoot??!! :goodvibes :lmao:
Otherwise, I'm VERY happy with Netflix, with the exception that The Hulk has been in my queue for nearly 3 weeks and I'm just now on LONG WAIT. I still have to get to SHORT WAIT and then NOW and finally I can see it. Hubby says I'll have better luck meeting Barack Obama BEFORE seeing the movie! :rotfl2:

Its happend a couple of times, but I think its because they stuff we wanted was not that available. DW watches english tv series,(inspector Morse, Ballykissangle, Rumpole, etc.) and sometimes we will get a disc from chicago or farther away (we are in california) so possibly they are not that availalbe.

ALso I am currently going through all the old sci-fi "B" movies fromt he 50s/60s and some of them have been sent from back east. but I havn't really seen a patten.

we did get some first released stuff the first day of release!

Used to subscribe when the kids were much younger and the wife was in night school. Once the kids were put to bed, I settled in for a movie. Used to have the "4 at a time" plan, and they started throttling me, since with 4 at a time, I could get 25+ a month. Then I started not getting disc's shipped for a day or 2. I e-mailed them and the said "We were waiting to see if the top movie on your list to come in". Uh, why do I have a list with over 50 titles on it then?

Basically, I was lied to. Wrote a letter to the CEO and dropped my membership. NEVER heard back from them.

Will NEVER use them again.

I have had consistently fine service from Netflix over the years. Maybe it has something to do with the fact the nearest mailing center is in my town. :goodvibes The only thing I found odd was just a couple of weeks ago they shipped one of my movies from CA (I'm on the east coast). Funny thing, it still arrived the next day. :confused3

They've been doing this for years, and the people who say they've never had a problem have not been marked as heavy users. Actually, the person who's had the same disc for 6 months is Netflix's dream customer! ;)
