I'm sorry, but can you please clarify what you mean by this statement?
Just an FYI- you might get a better response if you don't use caps and you try and use apostrophes. It's really hard to understand what you are trying to get across without them.

To answer your question - I have no problems with gay days. I'm of the firm belief that if you don't like it, they publish their itinerary well in advance for you to plan your vacation to avoid it.
Even if you can only go on vacation at the same time as gay day.

I try not to get involved in any debates on this board, but Gay Days is a sensitive issue. My brother is gay and next year (2004) we are planning on going down for Gay Days.

What I don't get is how you want everyone to take it. This is a very sensitive subject. Many other groups meet at Disney World, but never seem to get any flack about it. I think that many people are homophobic (and I am absolutley not saying that you are, because I don't know you) and that is why they don't like Gay Days. I know that they meet at Magic Kingdom on the Sat, so I don't know why it would be a problem to avoid the park that day anyway. There are 3 other parks, water parks, DTD, and your hotel pool. Besides, Magic Kingdom is always the busiest on Saturday, so I usually avoid the park that day anyway.

The people that are celebrating Gay Days are paying to be there, and therefore have every right to be. They plan it the same week every year so it is more convenient for the people that want to be and for the people that don't want to be there.

If you don't like gay day and don't want to be at any of the WDW parks that day, then grab a shuttle and go to USF.

It is, of course, your choice on how you want to present yourself but mocking members of the gay community with the Adam and Steve comment is certain to limit the amount of respect and understanding you are going to receive.

As for Gay Days, they wouldn't bother me a bit if I were there.

On the other hand, what you said may be innocent, it can actually hurt others' feelings. I have family members who are gay and I'm very proud of them.

Oh well, Im just going to not respond to this anymore, everyone on here is acting rude, I actually found a few other threads to do with this matter, so maybe you should go and yell at them, i just wanted an opinion, i wouldn't dare change my itinerary for anyone, i will go when i want and not have worry about it, i dont let anything ruin my time, it doesnt bother me that people are gay, my favorite cousin is gay, so what, but i just dont think there should be a day for it, if your gay, everyday is gay day, the same as if your strait, thats all im saying, so everyone take it down a notch and calm down.

I was at WDW for the very first Gay Week. You know what? I didn't know about it at all until I got home and heard someone complaining about it. I didn't see anything offensive or vulgar. Actually, like Chuck said you see more from hetro couples there.

Not to be rude, but I have a comment about this statement. What in your eyes is God's way? Is that a man and woman in a life-long commitment i.e. marriage? Are you and your boyfriend sharing a hotel room? If so, that isn't God's way either! You shouldn't be with a man until you have been married.

BTW there is no difference between gay days and any convention at WDW. It is when a group of people decide to go there. EXCEPT that some small minded people tend to get up in arms about it.

Who knows, you might or might not read this. But you do need to get your facts strait. WDW does NOT set aside a day for "Gay Day". If you had researched it a little you would have seen that.

I don't see people being rude here; they are just expressing their opinions just like you did.
