I admit it! I'm crazy when it comes to vacations! I want to know everything that's available, what's going on, and where things area. I love to pour over guide books and these websites. Seeing all the Disney info has me excited for this trip that we weren't even planning on ! ;)
I can't believe all the great info I can find here on everything from the park to motels to dining-and the pics are so helpful!
I even got some great sales at Disneyshopping.com so the kids will have shirts to wear each day at the park :earsboy: -I know-I'm a geek
I don't plan hour by hour or anything but I like to have a general idea for each day.
My Dh on the other hand loves spontaneity (sp?) and tolerates my compulsiveness...just barely.
Anyone else love the thrill of the hunt? :surfweb:

I am with you book worm. Maybe it is that the Washington (live in Longview) air......Ha. Ha. Planning, planning, leaving two weeks from today. Driving my husband crazy!

Yup, I'm a compulsive planner too.

I have been planning our 12/07 trip for about a month now. Looking for the best deal and just gathering all the disney info I can.

For our last trip I took all the menus in the park and condensed them down to one piece of paper so we could decide in advance where we wanted to eat instead of wasting time wandering and looking at the menus:thumbsup2

Don't laugh, I know I'm a nerd...

If you can email that too me I would love to have it........hotrod_427@msn.com
Thanks!!!

Oh YES!

I trolled the boards everyday for months before my Disney vacation. It not only helped pass the time, but I felt the magic all the time. Enjoy!

Planner all the way. I print out the calendar as soon as it is available and map out which park we'll be in at what times so I can hit the shows/parades that we want to!! February is done, plannin April now, I notice that I feel I have a lot more planning to do since we have a 1st timer going in April and I want them to experience things that I don't feel the need to see every trip!!

Okay, you wanna hear something even more crazy??? I just got back from a 9 day trip in the begining of Dec and I'm already planning the next trip for Dec of 2007:santa: for another 9 days. I even already made a deposit on the trip. See now that's what I call a little on the crazy side. My husband doesn't really mind because he knows it makes me happy and if I'm happy everyone is happy!!:rotfl:

I really enjoy the planning part , I think I drive my family nuts! But after the trip I get depressed and can't get on the dis without being sad I have no plans for another trip.
I have been to DL way too many times to count but am always looking for something new!

I love to plan! We are going to Cabo in March...I have already booked our shuttle, made a reservation for our first night's dinner and started ironing summer clothes! We are going to be in DL in July and I am all over that one too! We even have our flights booked (on air miles so I didn't need to fork out the $) for the cruise we are going on for our anniversary in October (booked so incredibly early we got an amazing rate!) . I love to plan vacations!:cloud9:

Yup me too, major planner! Not only on vacations but about everything in life! I have to plan out DLR to a "T" so I can get the most in and accomplished with two little boys. We do the disney shirts for DL too, I have already been shopping for autograph pins and books, etc... I already bought the boys glowsticks for the trip. (BTW, The Disney store is having some big sales)

Huge Disney planner here also. I've often considered trying to do it part time on the side, maybe one day.

Another type A compulsive planner here!!! I just have to know everything about the place I am going and that way I can relax when I get there. WDW and DL are the worst because there is so much to do. To me, planning the trip is part of the fun and anticipation. DH also loves it because he doesn't have to do anything :rotfl2:

I didn't do exactly what you did but I read the menus on the computer then printed out the ones I made PS and new well in advance what my meal plans were. LOL OK, so I am a little compulsive but I love it

I am too - but I don't but guidebooks - I find my wealth of information the internet and any free books I can get my hands on. . .

But yes I LOVE planning trips. Mostly, though, because I feel if I am spending hard earned money on them I want to be able to have the best time possible and be as prepared as I can be.

Another big planner here! I am already a big "list maker" (lists for everything, everywhere at my house), planning for DL makes me worse.

Definitely a compulsive planner here - I've been planning my May 2007 trip since last May! :rotfl2:

I'm #7 on the wait list at the library for the UG to DL and it's driving me nuts to wait-I hit 3 thrift stores hoping to find a recent one but no luck :(
I did break down and order the Passporter Disneyland today...all those maps and organizers...can't resist! :rolleyes1

I bought the UG an OG both and have read them back to back twice now. Plus I spend way too much of my time on this website and others doing research.

I believe I take the cake.

I have been obsessively planning our DLR trip since last March. Our trip is this April. :scared1:
