Anyone eaten at Paradiso 37?

Just wondering...it caught my eye when I had the recent Birnbaum's Guide out of the library and DH and I are into Latin American food so I wondered what people's thoughts were. Thanks!

We had dinner at Paradiso 37 for the first time last Saturday night. The weather was really nice, and we got a table outside of the back of the restaurant overlooking the lake/Saratoga Springs. Someone was playing a guitar & singing some tunes (just okay - a bit "canned"). We ordered an appetizer - and couldn't decide between the mexican dipping trio and 3 salsa/chips. Our waitress offered that we could choose 3 offerings between the 2 appetizers. The guacamole & queso dip were really good. The fire roasted salsa was just okay (not spicy). I had a yummy margarita, DH a beer, and DS a soda. DS ordered the chicken quesadilla for his dish - and enjoyed it. I had the quatro tacos- choosing 2 fish, 1 pork, and 1 chicken. The pork was the best. The fish tasted more like tuna than mahi mahi. The beans/rice were tasty. DH ordered the Mahi Mahi Sliders - which he rated mediocre. DS finished his meal with the 4 ice cream cones. It was worth the money to see how much he enjoyed the ice cream and the magnetic holders. Overall - the meal was very pricey for the quality of the food. It was fun to try once.

YES, we really liked it. Some delicious quesadillas and I loved their shrimp salad! I actually have a full review on my dining website, reviews and photos, check it out! We have reservations to go back next month. They don't book through Disney but you can book on the internet through Opentable.com.

Did lunch there 2x and liked it. It's not fine dining by any means, but I like the looks of the place, the service was excellent. Portion sizes are "average" for that type of food.
And the beer WAS cold!!

Anyone have a recommendation on whether a reservation is "required"? We want to try them out for lunch one day, but since they don't book through Disney, I'm wondering if I can just plan to show up whatever day we find ourselves in Downtown Disney.

You probably won't need a reservation for lunch, but just in case you can book through opentable.com www.opentable.com We had a reservation for dinner when we went but it wasn't too busy when we walked in at around 7:15, however by 8:00 the place really filled up.

I agree! I had some type of taco or fajita and cilantro rice. I asked for and received the cilantro rice recipe. It was great. The fruit empanada dessert was awesome, too. The margaritas were good, too!
