I just read about this and wondered if anyone had any experience with this? We will be visiting in May and are thinking about it.

I'm not sure if that is still offered, actually, or if it is just offered seasonally. Let me see what I can find out. :)

I cound this at the Laughing Place site. Here is the URL:

We have done the dessert package at the Disney Gallery while watching Fantasmic and enjoyed it, but I just stumbled upon this as I was planning our next trip. There are actually a couple of different packages at DCA for watching the electrical parade, but we haven't tried the winery so this looked intriguing.

KNWVIKING - I just saw your earlier post where you thought you might be dissapointed at DL. It certainly isn't WDW but as we now go every year, I can truly say I enjoy the DL park much better than the MK. The only dissapointment is the castle is much smaller, but it is a bigger park and has several differences. Don't miss the Indiana Jones ride and the Matterhorn. Pirates is much better at DL. Space Mountain has speakers on either side of your ears and it makes the ride more exciting. The shops on Main Street, although much the same, are in different places. Make sure you take a ride on the train, there is a Grand Canyon diarama right before you enter the Main Street station. The Haunted Mansion stretch room goes down instead of up like the MK. We always love to go through the Disney Gallery as its displays change often and it usually reflects some sort of park history. It was originally built as an apartment for Walt so it has 4 or 5 different rooms. I'm sure you have heard of Club 33. It is a private club with a somewhat hidden entance next to the Blue Bayou restaurant. Last year we were lucky enough to have met a couple waiting in line at DCA that invited us to come with them for lunch. She was an employee of FedEx and they had a corporate membership. You might check to see if GM has the same thing. It was an incredible treat. If you ever take tours, the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" is excellent. We have taken it twice and have been given different information both times. We also enjoy DCA very much. It had a lot of mixed press but we enjoyed it from the start. Don't miss Soarin' Over California. This addition combined with DD and the new hotel gave the whole resort much more of a WDW feel. As I said before, we too are DVC members and WDW is still my all time favorite but I greatly look forward to our trips to DL.

Thank you for the link and the DL park info. I never would have guessed that the DL park is bigger then MK,it looks smaller on the maps I've seen. As for the Wine Picnic, it sounds nice but a little pricey. Are we talking about an all-you-can-eat buffet with a bottomless wine glass or sampler platter and one glass ? I'm also going to call the GM travel agent and inquire about club 33. Thanks for the great info.

There is a new dinner package available at DCA:

Beginning March 15, 2002, enjoy "The Power of BLAST!" like you never have before with dinner at selected Theme Park or Resort Hotel restaurants, reserved seating at the show and commemorative merchandise. Call (714) 781-DINE† for reservations and information.

we didn't do the wine and snacks package for ELP - but we did purchase some oil & vinegar sets at the Mondavi store about 45 minutes before the parade when we were there in October and the CM then took us over to a place right next to the table area where they do the reserved seating. It was actually a better viewing location and we enjoyed a glass of wine from the counter service while waiting for the parade.
