Anyone done the Kids' Races at Epcot during marathon weekend?

I was just wondering how crowded the Kids' races are and how long they usually take. Are they held on grass or in the parking lot? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

They are at WWofS.

They are not held in a parking lot, I think they run on the grass or maybe a small track...I don't really remember but I did the Disney 10K in October and the Family races started as soon as the 10K finished...
