Anyone done Fantasmic dessert buffet lately? Question...

Thanks so much for posting pictures. They boxes have changed since I last saw it in 2007. They weren't even labeled F! back then. Can't wait...seeing it 8/30 9pm showing. pixiedust:

There are three big light platforms. Two of them are raised in advance, but the middle one is left down until shortly before Fantasmic begins. Before it's raised, it looks like the view will be blocked so very few people camp out there. If you get there before they raise it, you'll have a prime spot with an unobstructed view once they do raise it.
Where are the lightpost located that you are referring to, I am going in September and don't really want to fork out (no pun intended) $240.00 for dessert and a show.

We've done this every time, and always get a good spot right against the railing without waiting for hours. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I think the $ is worth it if you are going at a busy time of year...we are going over Christmas and plan to be on the phones at the 30 day mark each day of our trip until we get it.....we will also being doing 2 tours to get seats for parades and front of the line of several rides....

would I do it on the off season - no....

any recent pictures of the boxes??

I don't have a recent photo because I was horrible with my picture taking during our recent trip, but the box looked almost identical to the photo posted earlier in this thread.

We did this last Tuesday and really enjoyed it. Would I do it all the time? Probably not because as others have stated, it is expensive and there was a lot we could have done with 200.00. But, my DD is healing from major surgery so having a spot with a seat already staked out was well worth it this time around, especially with the crowds. It eased my mind knowing no one could be hitting her in the back and she could relax and see the show.

Can you get good seats with out shelling out the money? Definitely, but as a nice treat it was well worth it. The treats were tasty and between those and the ones from Ariel's we were kept on a sugar rush for a week. :lmao::lmao:

As a note, I booked this last minute less than a week before we were going and had no problem getting a reservation. At the time they had plenty for both shows. I prefer the first one because you get the firework experience as well. My only regret is not getting more cocoa. Had 2 but could have certainly gone for a third if I had thought about it. ;) And they also gave me bottled water with my cocoa so you can pick more than one drink.

The fruit and cheese and crackers are O.K., but I'm always disappointed in the sweets - they are really not that good. I'd be much happier if they would give me some things from the Blue Ribbon Bakery like a krispie treat, chocolate chip cookie, and brownie!

BTW, we did this in June, and our boxes did NOT have the Fantasmic! logo on them as they have in the past. :(

That's so interesting, because we did it on June 30 and it did have the logo. Maybe they were out of stickers when you were there?

Did this last month and it was our first time doing that. The servers were very sweet, offering to mix our coffee and hot chocolate for a mocha type drink (which turned out really good) and even though we didn't have a chance to eat dinner, the cheese, crackers, and fruit were enough to take the edge off and enjoy a portion of the yummy desserts.

The show had a few glitches as the dragon did not 'appear' on cue so Mickey had to deal with the very tall witch and the last Mickey did not 'appear' at the end either. They hid it very well despite this.

The only problem I had at the end was that *I* had to carry 4 large boxes out since we didn't finish everything in it. They are pretty big.

About what time do they raise the light platform?
