Hello everyone, we are getting alot closer now to our trip end of Feb, We are wanting to do the Cirque du Soleil at downtown disney. If anybody has been please let me know what your seats where like?

Thankyou

Karlie

I have! (and all of the ones that have toured Australia and 4 in Vegas)

The DTD one, La Nouba, is a lot of airiel stuff, so best not to be down near the front, you end up with a sore neck. We sat near the mixing desk in the second elevation.
My preferred seat are the front row of the second section back in the middle (ausually a couple of rows in front of the mixing desk) That pretty well applies to all of them. I've been in the front row for a couple of shows, which is amazing for seeing the detail in the costumes and make-up, but you miss quite a bit of the general action being so close.
Before the show starts, they have cast members wandering around and usually some clown action on the aisle between the first and second elevation. If you get the front or second row of the second elevation you get a good view of it. Some of the clown action is down in the front row too. So make sure you are seated 10min before start time :)

yer thanks, I was just looking to book seats and could get very back row of the first section. So its only the walkway between where you are talking about. So I hummed and harred a bit and cancelled the seat holding and when I went back to re book those seats it says sight is down for maintenance. whats the odds. Anyway will try again later.

Thanks for your help

I sat in the back row of the first section - and it probably is as good as the first row of the second section.
Absolutely confirm that front row is no point - you would be straining upwards for more than half the show.
The two sections are separated by a walkway in which as cola mentioned, clowns do some mucking around as people are being seating AND the opening of the show has all the performers enter from the sides and rear. So I was craning around to be able to see them come in. That only lasts 10 - 15 mins then all the action is on the stage.
I was also sitting off 45 degrees from the centre. It didn't really matter as the show uses the whole performance space from all angles.

It was a lovely show, barrelled along so if one bit got boring it wasn't long before the next bit started - and some bits are astonishing! only about 75mins all up. enjoy!

Booked and Payed for 4 amazing seats. Its row AA in 205 which means nobody in front of us (walkway) and nobody to the side of us either. I rang Disney and they basically gave us pick of the venue because it was so far out.(march)

So where we are no sore necks :thumbsup2

Will let you guys know how it is. Hubby wants to sneak in the Go Pro mini camera to record a bit of it for the video series but dont like his luck, I think they are pretty strict on that.

They are VERY strict - I saw them directing people to cloak anything obviously a photographic device. they made numerous announcements about no photography and plenty of staff patrolling.

They are VERY strict with cameras, they won't even let you take a photo of the empty stage! I can understand them being so strict because even when somewhere will say 'no flash photograph' someone always either forgets or doesn't know how to turn of the flash and takes a photo anyway - you certainly wouldn't want a flash going off when balancing on one finger tip on top of a pole.

I saw oVo in Sydney a couple of weeks ago, and they even told me to put the phone away when I was checking email! (one disadvantage of being on the walkway!) I've got to say, oVo was fantastic!!!!!!!

Section 205 row AA looks like great seats for La Nouba :)

We went to a cirque show in NYC and were sitting in the mezzanine - I had been very stern with dd about her phone and she left it behind. But there plenty of people taking photographs before the show - not so much during it. I was disappointed as I wanted to get photos of the interior of the radio city music hall.

You have to watch the rear LCD screens of the cameras it's really obvious, and annoying from above.

I was probably 5 th from too and had the best view. I almost didnt go because of price but now thinking of doing it again. This was the best thing i did all week.

Really looking forward to it this time as we didnt even go to downtown Disney at all last visit.:)
