Anyone done Behind The Seeds with a 7 1/2 year old?

My son LOVES the boat ride in Epcot (Living with the Land maybe?), and heard about the Behind the Seeds tour when we were last there. He's totally into gardening and such, but wanted to see if anyone here has gone on this tour with a child.

Yes we did in August and my son had just turned 8. He liked it a lot and the guide really involved him, giving him ladybugs to release, let him feed the fish etc. If he likes the ride he will like the tour it was very interesting.

We did this with my two who were 5 and 7 at the time. Both enjoyed it. Was a little slow moving for them while the guide talked but all in all I would recommed! We have a wonderful story to share about this too. They giv eyou special seeds to take home and my daughter picked cinderella pumpkin seeds. We brought them home but they somehow got lost and she wanted to plant them in the garden this summer. When we got back I called the tour and told them ny dilemma. They mailed her new seeds along with an autographed photo of cindy Telling my daughter thanks for helping her carriage seeds to grow. We were thrilled!

We did this last year when DD was 7. Our tour guide was a bit long-winded and DDs did get bored toward the end (it went over by 30 minutes!), but they did get to release lady bugs, feed the alligators, and the fish. We sample tomatoes, but DDs don't like them so didn't. We didn't get any seeds, though.

Something I didn't realize was that DDs spent the first part of the tour freaked out b/c they thought the lady bugs they had in the container were the same thing as our orange Asian beetles that pinch and they were afraid to release them! Once everyone on the tour assured them that they were ouch-free, they relaxed.
