I was looking at the magical gatherign at the Disney Site:

Magical Gathering Info

Some of them look kind of interesting, like the morning gathering and the VIP Safari trip. We are only a family of 4 (Myself, Husband, 3 Year Old B/G Twins). Is it possible to just get together with another family to qualify as part of a magical gathering? It look like you only need 8 people. I am curious how big the magical gatherings are, since it looks like they put all of the gatherings together.

Any information is appreciated! Thanks.

Magical gatherings are for groups of 8 or more (there are other stipulations, but # is 8)

WE are doing the Good Morning Gathering at Tony's Town Square Restaurant
as our character breakfast on our MK day

Will post report when return

Leaving on Sun 2/6; can't wait.

:smooth: We just returned from SSR and attended two magical gathering events. Both were $59.99 each and were soooo not worth it! The Safari itself was good, but it can be had for free. It is a personal type tour with several other groups with you and you more time that on a regular entry. The dinner afterward was very not good. The food was literally thrown on your plate and our waiter forgot half of the food. When we told him he replied, "Oh, you want more chicken and pork"? I told him that we hadn't even got any yet!. He took our order for drinks and forgot two of them, out of nine. The food was barley warm and not good. We also did the Fireworks International Dinner at Epcot. The only decent food was from Italy, the rest, uggh. It was very crowded and they got the kids up almost immediately to do a conga line and we were in the middle of eating since we had been seated almost last. It was not well put together and was very rushed. The dessert and the view for the fireworks wwere excellent. Overall, don't wast your money on either of these two events.

We did two Grand Gatherings in Feb of this year. We really enjoyed the Magical Fireworks Voyage cruise, we had a group of 32. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and danced to "kiss the girl" from The Little Mermaid. We also did the Safari dinner, we enjoyed it and most of our group liked all the different types of food. The Safari was pretty expensive and the Magical Fireworks Voyage was a much better "value" (if you can say that about anything Disney LOL).
